Yellowstone has just come to an end after airing the fifth season finale, and perhaps the series finale, on Sunday night (December 15)!
While a season six renewal has not been confirmed, there have been some questions about the future of the show, even though it was previously said to end after this season.
Star Kelly Reilly even shared an emotional post ahead of the finale, saying this is the end of the show as we know it. However, it was recently announced a spinoff is in the works with her character!
So, how did Yellowstone end? The season finale was jam-packed and included yet another death.

Luke Grimes and Kelsey Asbille hit the black carpet for the special screening event for Yellowstone‘s season 5 premiere!
The two stars were joined by Gil Birmingham, Brecken Merrill, Denim Richards, Wendy Moniz, Jefferson White, Jen Landon, Mo Brings Plenty, Kylie Rogers, Kyle Silverstein and series creator Taylor Sheridan.
Piper Perabo, Hassie Harrison and Dave Annable were also seen at the event.
Following the season premiere, Kelsey and Luke opened up about the ending of the episode, which has a major impact on their characters, Monica and Kayce Dutton.

The stars of Yellowstone took over the silver carpet at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday (February 27) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.
Ian Bohen, Jefferson White, Jennifer Landon, Brecken Merrill, Eden Brolin and Luke Grimes all reunited at the event where Yellowstone was up for it’s first major award – Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Unfortunately, the show lost out to HBO’s Succession.
Earlier in the night, their co-stars Hassie Harrison, Kelsey Asbille, and Piper Perabo were seen in their stunning looks on the red carpet.
If you missed it, 1883 spinoff stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were also seen at the show.

The popular Paramount Network series Yellowstone has been renewed for a fifth season and it has been confirmed that many cast members will return for the upcoming episodes.
The Kevin Costner-led series originally premiered in June 2018 and it hit its peak popularity in season four, which ended just last month.
Yellowstone, which was created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, has already been given a spinoff series titled 1883 and another planned spinoff titled 6666 is in the works.
There are 14 cast members confirmed to return for season five and two previous guest stars were just upped to series regulars.

Yellowstone has been picked up for a third season!
Paramount Network made the announcement about the drama series on Wednesday (June 19), Variety reports.
Season three will feature 10 episodes, just like season two, which premieres tonight at 10 p.m. ET.
Yellowstone stars Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Luke Grimes, and Kevin Costner, along with Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Danny Huston, and Gil Birmingham.
It tells the story of a ranching family in Montana who faces off against others encroaching on their land.

Kevin Costner happily poses alongside his wife Christine Baumgartner on the red carpet while attending Paramount Network’s Yellowstone season 2 premiere party held at Lombardi House on Thursday (May 30) in Los Angeles.
The 64-year-old actor was also joined at the event by his co-stars Luke Grimes, Wes Bentley, Gil Birmingham, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Chow, Steven Williams, Denim Richards, Jefferson White, Ryan Bingham and Ian Bowen.
Yellowstone is a drama series that follows the Dutton family, led by patriarch John Dutton (Costner). The Duttons control the largest contiguous ranch in the U.S. and must contend with constant attacks by land developers, clashes with an Indian reservation and conflict with America’s first national park.
