Tea Leoni & Tim Daly to Star in NBC Comedy Pilot 'Newlyweds,' One Year After Getting Married in Real Life

Tea Leoni and Tim Daly are starring in a new TV show together!

The former Madam Secretary co-stars, who got married in real life in July 2025, are set to star in the NBC comedy pilot Newlyweds.

The upcoming show, produced by Jamie Lee Curtis, is “a later-in-life love story about a free-spirited woman and a buttoned-up professor who marry impetuously after a whirlwind courtship,” according to Variety.

“Recently divorced, Tony (Daly) accidentally runs into Jeannie (Leoni) at a valet stand and is so taken with her beauty and spirit that they wind up having dinner together anyway. Tony soon realizes that his life with Jeanie is not going to be the quiet, stay-at-home lifestyle he enjoys, but he also knows he’d rather change his ways than live without her,” the description reads.

Tim‘s sister Tyne Daly revealed why she didn’t attend his wedding to Tea last year.

'The Voice' 2026: Six Returning Contestants Revealed for Season 29's Battle of Champions

The new season of The Voice is titled “Battle of Champions” and while that actually refers to the coaches, there are some former champions making a return to the show.

Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend are the three coaches this season and during a special “In-Season All-Star Competition” in the Knockouts Round, they’ll each bring back two artists to represent them.

Here’s how NBC describes the new round: “Each Coach brings back two fan-favorite Artists from their teams in previous seasons to compete. These all-stars represent their former Coaches as they battle in head-to-head sing-offs. The Coach with the most sing-off wins is guaranteed a second finalist in the finale.”

Former coach CeeLo Green will be back to determine the winner of each All-Star Showdown.

It does not appear that any of the returning artists will be eligible for the competition this season. They’ll just be helping their coach bring an additional artist to the finale.

So, who is returning?
