Specifically, we get to see Professor Charles Xavier, portrayed by Patrick Stewart, Magneto, portrayed by Ian McKellen, and Cyclops, portrayed by James Marsden.
One notable moment from the teaser is when we see Cyclops emitting a huge burst of red energy from his famed visor! Also visible in the background of the same scene is a Sentinel, which serves as an anti-mutant robot designed to hunt, fight, and eliminate mutants like the X-Men.

Ian McKellen just dropped a major update about the upcoming Lord of the Rings movie, The Hunt for Gollum.
During a panel at London’s For the Love of Fantasy event on Sunday (August 17), the 85-year-old actor teased that both Gandalf and Frodo will appear in the Andy Serkis-directed film.
“I’ll tell you two secrets about the casting: there’s a character in the movie called Frodo, and there’s another character called Gandalf. Apart from that, my lips are sealed!” Ian said at the event.

Sir Ian McKellen is encouraging young gay actors to embrace their identities.
The 85-year-old actor said in a new interview that gay performers should help fight against discrimination in the entertainment industry by being open about who they are.
“I have never met anybody who came out who regretted it. I feel sorry for any famous person who feels they can’t come out,” Ian told The Times of London.

The stars of the former Lord of the Rings movies are supporting the launch of the new animated movie The War of the Rohirrim!
Cate Blanchett and Ian McKellen were among the LOTR alum who joined beloved director Peter Jackson at the premiere of the movie on Tuesday (December 3) in London, England.
Peter produced the new anime feature from award-winning filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama. Voice actors Brian Cox and Gaia Wise were also on the red carpet!
Other alum who attended included Richard Armitage, Adam Brown, Luke Evans (with partner Fran Tomas), Stephen Fry, Ryan Gage, and Andy Serkis.
Set 183 years before the events chronicled in the original trilogy of films, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim tells the fate of the House of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan.
