In 2020, FX renewed the show for four more seasons, bringing it to at least a whopping 18 seasons.
According to a recent interview Rob McElhenney gave with Rolling Stone Australia, all of the season 17 episodes have been filmed and edited, and are expected to premiere June 2025. There will be eight episodes total.
