Lucy Dacus confirms that Taylor Swift name dropped her in The Tortured Poets Department.
The 29-year-old musician, who is part of the band Boygenius with Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker, revealed that the mention of the name “Lucy” in the title track to Taylor‘s 2024 album is in fact referencing her.
“You told Lucy you’d k–l yourself if I ever leave,” the lyrics read.
“She actually texted me and asked for my approval,” Lucy told People in a recent interview.

Lucy, 29, and Julien, 29, are a part of the musical supergroup Boygenius, along with Phoebe Bridgers, 30.
