IF, directed by John Krasinski, has brought in $35 million in its opening weekend at the box office, Variety reports.
That number comes slightly below expectations, as it was expected to bring in $40 million in its first weekend of release. The movie cost $110 million to make and many millions more to market.

The cast of John Krasinski‘s upcoming family movie IF stepped out for the big red carpet premiere in the Big Apple!
John, who wrote and directed the new fantasy comedy, was joined by his wife and co-star Emily Blunt at the event on Monday night (May 13) at the SVA Theater in New York City.
Also in attendance were Ryan Reynolds, Steve Carell, Matt Damon (with wife Luciana), Maya Rudolph, Christopher Meloni, Awkwafina, Bradley Cooper, Amy Schumer, Cailey Fleming, Fiona Shaw, Alan Kim, and Bobby Moynihan.
