John Cena is rocking his Peacemaker costume on the red carpet!

The 49-year-old WWE star turned actor was joined by wife Shay Shariatzadeh at the premiere of the second season of his HBO Max series on Wednesday evening (August 13) held at AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City.

Fellow cast members in attendance included Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Frank Grillo, Sol Rodriguez, Michael Rooker, Nhut Le, David Denman, and Anissa Matlock along with creator and showrunner James Gunn.

Here’s the synopsis for the new season: “Peacemaker discovers an alternate world where life is everything he wishes it could be. But this discovery also forces him to face his traumatic past and take the future into his own hands.”

Peacemaker season two will debut Thursday, August 21st at 9pm ET/PT on HBO Max. Watch the trailer here!

John Cena hits the stage in his full Peacemaker suit at the show’s panel at 2025 Comic-Con held at San Diego Convention Center on Saturday (July 26) in San Diego, Calif.

The 48-year-old star of the DC series was joined at the panel by co-stars Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, Frank Grillo, Tim Meadows and Sol Rodriguez, as well as writer and creator James Gunn.

At the Comic-Con panel, the season two trailer was revealed, as well as new details about what’s to come on the HBO Max series!

The trailer for the new season of Peacemaker has been released!

On Friday (May 9), MAX debuted the first trailer for the upcoming second season of the DC Comics series starring John Cena in the titular role.

Here’s the logline for season 2: “The new season follows Christopher ‘Chris’ Smith, aka Peacemaker, the vigilante Super Hero as he struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose while continuing to kick righteous evil-doer butt in his misguided quest for peace at any cost.”

The two actors posed for photos while arriving at a special screening of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 on Wednesday (May 3) in New York City.

So many stars were at the L.A. premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the film is getting some incredible reviews!

Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper, and so many more actors from the movie attended the event on Thursday (April 27) in Los Angeles.

Also in attendance were co-stars Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, Elizabeth Debicki, Maria Bakalova, Linda Cardellini, Nico Santos, Nathan Fillion, and Miriam Shor, as well as director James Gunn and his wife Jennifer Holland.

Chris walked the carpet with his wife Katherine Schwarzengger.

James Gunn is a married man!

The 56-year-old director of movies including The Suicide Squad, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Super married Peacemaker actress Jennifer Holland earlier this week in Aspen, Colorado.

“After over 7 years together, I finally married the love of my life, @jenniferlholland,” James wrote on his Instagram on Friday (September 30). “What an incredible, beautiful, stunning day surrounded by the most wonderful family and friends in the world.”

James Gunn and longtime girlfriend Jennifer Holland are engaged!

The Suicide Squad director revealed the happy news on his Instagram, sharing a picture of Jennifer wearing a sizable sparkler on her ring finger while sipping a cup of coffee.

“😏❤️,” is all he captioned in the announcement.

Jennifer also shared an image of the two of them together on her personal Instagram account, just prior to the announcement. “Happiness,” she captioned.

“Aaaaaaaahhh!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!” Viola Davis replied in the comments, with other stars joining suit, including Edi Gathegi, Wil Wheaton, and more.

If you’re unaware, James and Jennifer have been together since 2015, and she first appeared as Emilia Harcourt in The Suicide Squad before her role became a bigger one for HBO Max’s Peacemaker series.
