The third film in the horror franchise Orphan headlined by Isabelle Fuhrman has been acquired by Republic Features.

The company nabbed the U.S. rights to the prequel film Orphans from Dark Castle Entertainment and Deadline reports that production will wrap soon. Isabelle is back as Esther in the film, which is a prequel to Orphan: First Kill, itself a prequel to Orphan.

In addition to Isabelle‘s return, Orphans also stars Stephen Moyer, Simon Man, and Susanne Wuest. First Kill director William Brent Bell and screenwriter David Coggeshall came back to helm the title.

“Surrounding Isabelle with Stephen, Simon, and Susanne will deliciously add to the twists, turns, and kills that Orphan fans have come to love and expect from the franchise,” said Norman Golightly of Dark Castle Entertainment.

The 2009 movie released by Dark Castle and Appian Way grossed nearly $78 million and the 2022 sequel earned Paramount $37 million, with the franchise earning $115 million worldwide total.

Julia Stiles makes a very rare red carpet appearance with husband Preston J. Cook while attending a screening of her directorial debut Wish You Were Here!

The 43-year-old Save the Last Dance actress wowed in an icy blue dress while attending the event, which was hosted at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City.

She was joined by many of the movie’s stars and a few other celebrities who were involved in its creation.

The film was announced by production banner Dark Castle Entertainment, with Lionsgate set to launch the project at the American Film Market this week.

“Dark Castle is excited to announce another terrifying chapter in the Orphan saga,” said Norman Golightly, Co-CEO of Dark Castle Entertainment, in a statement. “With the past success of the first two movies and another thrilling storyline, we are confident that Orphan 3 will be a must-see movie for both current fans of the franchise, and new fans alike.”

The Orphan franchise has grossed a combined $125 million worldwide to date.

The first film was released in 2009, and followed a husband and wife who in the wake of losing their baby, adopt a nine-year-old- girl who is not nearly as innocent as she claims to be. The second film, the 2022 prequel Orphan: First Kill, followed Leena as she escapes an Estonian psychiatric facility by pretending to be the missing daughter of a wealthy family. Her new life comes with unexpected problems when a mother protects her family at any cost.

Kevin Costner is ready for the world to experience his movie Horizon: An American Saga!

Kevin Costner and Sienna Miller make rare red carpet appearances with their respective children at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival premiere of their new film Horizon: An American Saga held at Palais des Festivals on Sunday (May 19) in Cannes, France.

The 69-year-old actor stars in, directed and co-wrote the upcoming movie, with his son Hayes making his acting debut. At the festival, Kevin and Hayes were joined by four of his other children – Lily, Grace, Cayden and Annie.

Sienna was joined at the premiere by her daughter Marlowe Sturridge, as well as her boyfriend Oli Green.

Also in attendance were Kevin and Sienna‘s co-stars Jena Malone, Abbey Lee, Luke Wilson, Isabelle Fuhrman, Ella Hunt, Alejandro Edda, Wasé Chief and Georgia MacPhail.

“I don’t know. I do know that [producer Alex Mace] has already talked to me about doing a third one,” Isabelle told Variety. “And if the script is good, and people love this one, why not? I would love to do that. I don’t think we’re gonna have to wait 13 years because I don’t think it’s gonna be possible in 13 years. When you’re in your 20s you can still look like younger if you get on a little stool chair, or have children play you from multiple angles. But I would love the opportunity if it came up. I wouldn’t say no.”

Orphan: First Kill director William Brent Bell talked about the possibility of a third movie too.

“I would never do it if Isabelle didn’t do it. And it would also have to be a really cool script. We talked… we joked about everything. There’s 30 years of her life [that we haven’t explored]. And there’s so much life experience that we can play with. And I think because of the tone of this movie, we can go darker and lighter. Make her more in-charge, and evil, but also have even more fun at times. So of course there is [potential there],” he said.

On New Year’s Eve, the 24-year-old actress was surprised to find out that Pete Davidson talked about her movie during his monologue for NBC’s New Year’s Eve special!

Simon Rex is hitting the red carpet for a screening of his new movie!

Isabelle Fuhrman will be reprising her role as Esther in the upcoming prequel to the 2009 horror movie Orphan.

SPOILER ALERT – In the first movie, Isabelle played an Eastern European child who was adopted by parents who were overcoming the loss of a child. The big twist in the movie was that she wasn’t actually a child. She was an an adult woman with primordial dwarfism who was pretending to be a nine-year-old and she tried to split her new parents apart to have the dad all to herself.

Nothing is known yet about the plot of the upcoming prequel, but Variety reports that Isabelle is attached as the star and associate producer.

The movie will be directed by The Boy and The Devil Inside director William Bent Bell with a screenplay by David Coggeshall, a writer on the Scream TV series.

Isabelle Fuhrman has joined Liana Liberato in YouTube’s upcoming Edge of Seventeen pilot.

THR broke the news of both actors’ casting.

Based off of the movie of the same name, the show would revolve around Mira (Fuhrman), a high school student and her best friend, Lou (Liberato), as they navigate the relationships, feelings and realities of being a teenage girl.

Mira is described as a whip-smart underachiever trying to survive high school until the moment she can escape her hometown and loving, but messy, family. Socially, she’s a floater, along with her best friend Lou. A clique of two. But when things start to shift in their friendship, Mira will have to search her world for other connections to help her endure her seemingly endless adolescence.

Lou (short for Louise) is a smart, dry, introverted and way overachieving. Her family is religious but lately Lou is having trouble reconciling her faith with her impulses. Still, while her older brother is rebelling, she feels pressure to be the “good kid.” Her only rebellion to date is being friends with the fun and impulsive Mira, who brings out a darker, funnier side of her that no one else knows.

The cast also includes Atli Óskar Fjalarsson, Deric Augustine, Joy Kate Lawson, Vincent Santvoord, Reagan Wallace, Aidan Redmond, Akilah Walker, Caroline Newton, and Javen Phillips.

The short drama, set for a 2018 release date, is being developed into a feature.

Ahna O’Reilly is all smiles as she poses for a photograph while attending the Tata Harper VIP Master Class held at Sunset Tower on Thursday (December 14) in Los Angeles.

The 33-year-old Marshall star was joined by Isabelle Fuhrman at the intimate session, where the ladies along with guests learned about natural ingredients and application techniques from Tata herself.
