John Davidson is opening up about why he decided to attend the 2026 BAFTA Film Awards despite the risk of an outburst in the middle of the show, which did happen.

The Tourette’s syndrome campaigner, who inspired the BAFTA-winning movie I Swear, is speaking out in his interview following his controversial appearance at the BAFTAs in London.

During the show, John let out several outbursts, including yelling the N-word while Sinners actors Delroy Lindo and Michael B. Jordan were on stage. He previously released a statement saying he was “deeply mortified” by what happened.

Now, John explains why he felt it was important to attend the show.

BAFTA judge Jonte Richardson quits the organization after the recent controversy involving Tourette’s syndrome campaigner John Davidson.

Davidson yelled out a racial slur during the Sunday night award ceremony while Sinners stars Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were on stage. Many are unhappy with the way that BAFTA handled the situation.

Jonte shared the news he was quitting with a statement posted to his LinkedIn.

John Davidson, a Tourette’s syndrome campaigner who inspired the BAFTA-winning movie, I Swear, is making headlines after what happened at the 2026 BAFTAs.

Several outbursts could be heard throughout the BAFTA ceremony, including “shut the f–k up” during an introductory speech from BAFTA chair Sara Putt, and “f–k you” during the Best Children’s and Family Film acceptance speech.

The audience also heard him shout a racial slur when Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo presented the award for Best Visual Effects to Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Kylie Jenner joined her beau Timothee Chalamet at the 2026 BAFTAs!

The 28-year-old The Kardashians star skipped the red carpet once again, while the 30-year-old Best Actor nominee walked solo, but they could be seen sitting together inside for the awards show on Sunday (February 22) in London.

Kylie has regularly joined Timothee at awards shows throughout the Marty Supreme run, though she usually doesn’t walk the red carpet.

The couple have only hit the red carpet together on two occasions – at the Marty Supreme LA premiere in December and at the 70th David Di Donatello in Rome, Italy in May 2025.

Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas pose with their trophies at the 2026 BAFTAs held at The Royal Festival Hall on Sunday (February 22) in London.

The married couple celebrated their movie Zootopia 2 picking up the award for Best Animated Film at the British awards show.

Ginnifer and Josh were also seen posing with producer Yvett Merino and co-director/executive producer/writer Jared Bush.

This marks the first major award win for Zootopia 2, which is also up for the 2026 Oscar for Best Animated Feature. That win will be announced at the big show on March 15th.

While Ginnifer voices one of the lead roles in the movie, Judy Hopps, Josh voices a more minor character, Frantic Pig, who owns the shop Flora & Fauna.

Milly Alcock hit the red carpet with her boyfriend at the 2026 BAFTAs!

The 25-year-old Supergirl star and her chef beau Joseph Powell made their first major public appearance together at the annual awards show on Sunday (February 22) at The Royal Festival Hall in London.

Milly and Joseph have been dating for a while now and first went public with their relationship in the summer of 2025.

A couple months later, he joined her at the Miu Miu Women’s Tales photocall held during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival. Since then, they’ve only appeared on each other’s Instagram accounts.

Milly has a major project coming out this year – the new Supergirl movie. Check out the most recent teaser here from the Super Bowl!

Supergirl is set to hit theaters on June 26th.
