'Supergirl' Trailer Features New Footage of Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El

We have our first look at Milly Alcock in Supergirl!

The Craig Gillespie-directed pic will hit theaters on June 26, 2026 and also features Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa. DC Studios heads Peter Safran and James Gunn are producing the film.

'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow' Cast - 7 Stars Join, Including a Surprise Cameo!

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is officially coming next year – and we’re finding out who’s joining the cast!

The highly anticipated movie will be the second installment in the new DC Universe (DCU). It’s being directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira.

Production reportedly wrapped earlier in 2025, with filming taking place in both England and Iceland.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 26, 2026. Intriguingly, an X/Twitter account @supergirl just popped up in November 2025. Will we be getting a first look or trailer soon? That’s what fans think!

Here’s the official synopsis via Variety: “Supergirl travels across the galaxy to celebrate her 21st birthday with Krypto the Superdog. Along the way, she meets a young woman named Ruthye and winds up on a murderous quest for revenge.”

While the full lineup hasn’t been announced yet, a few key stars have already been confirmed, including the actress playing Supergirl and a major star set to make a cameo!

Kristin Scott Thomas is bringing her real-life story to the big screen!

The 65-year-old actress serves as director, writer, and star of the new movie My Mother’s Wedding, which will be released in theaters later this summer.

Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller, and Emily Beecham star in the movie as Kristin‘s three daughters.

Here’s the synopsis: “In this heartfelt and funny story, three sisters (Johansson, Miller, & Beecham) return to their childhood home for a momentous occasion: the third wedding of their twice-widowed mother (Thomas). Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is on the way!

The highly anticipated film, based on the DC Comics character of Supergirl, will officially be the second film in the DC Universe, or DCU.

Craig Gillespie will be directing the movie, written by Ana Nogueira.

Filming is now taking place through May 2025, reportedly between England and Iceland. The movie is set to hit theaters on June 26, 2026.

Joe Alwyn joined Bridgerton stars Phoebe Dynevor and Rege-Jean Page at the 2024 Pre-BAFTA Filmmakers Dinner & Party hosted by Dunhill and BSBP on Tuesday night (February 13) held at the Bourbon House in London, England.

The event was held to celebrate the British film culture and community ahead of the BAFTAs, which takes place on Sunday, Feb. 18. Check out the full list of nominations here.
