Annie Murphy is paying tribute to her co-star Catherine O’Hara following her shocking death.
If you forgot, the two Emmy-winning actress starred alongside Dan and Eugene Levy in the hit comedy series Schitt’s Creek, which ran for six seasons from 2015 to 2020.
After Catherine died on Friday (January 30) at the age of 71, Annie, 39, took to Instagram to honor her on-screen mom.

The stars are stepping out for the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival!
Miley Cyrus, and her mom Tish Cyrus, joined Mariska Hargitay, Riley Keough, and more stars at THROUGH HER LENS: The Tribeca CHANEL Women’s Filmmaker Program luncheon on Friday afternoon (June 6) held at The Greenwich Hotel Courtyard in New York City.
Founded by Tribeca and Chanel in 2015, the mentorship program provides industry support, artistic development, and funding to emerging U.S.-based self-identifying women and non-binary filmmakers.
“Storytelling is a profound responsibility … and I’ve realized, actually, the most powerful thing that I can do is what I’ve been trained to do my life, which is to tell a story,” Through Her Lens Advisory Committee member Patty Jenkins said during the luncheon.

Nicole Kidman is returning for season two of Nine Perfect Strangers and she joined the show’s new cast members at a red carpet premiere!
The Oscar-winning actress joined co-star Henry Golding at the red carpet event on Thursday night (May 15) at the Beverly Estate in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Also in attendance were co-stars Murray Bartlett, Annie Murphy, Christine Baranski, Dolly de Leon, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, King Princess, Aras Aydin, Lucas Englander, Mark Strong, and Lena Olin.
The series is based on the book of the same name by Liane Moriarty, and will debut the new season this summer, nearly four years after the first debuted. Watch the first trailer now and catch the premiere on May 21 on Hulu.
Here’s a season two synopsis: Nine new strangers connected in ways they could never imagine are invited by mysterious guru Masha Dmitrichenko (Kidman) to join a transformational wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps. The stars of Schitt’s Creek had an on-stage reunion at the 2024 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 15) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
Catherine O’Hara, Eugene Levy, Annie Murphy and Dan Levy all closed out the show with the goodbye remarks after all of the awards were handed out.
Prior to that, Eugene and Dan, who hosted the show, were joined by Annie to introduce Catherine as the presenter of the final award of the night.
Also in attendance at the event was their co-star Emily Hampshire, who hit the carpet alongside former Queer Eye star Bobby Berk.
If you recall, Schitt’s Creek had a clean sweep at the 2020 Emmys after their final season, picking up nine of the 15 awards they were nominated for. They won Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor for Eugene, Lead Actress for Catherine and supporting for Dan and Annie, plus Outstanding Writing, Directing, Casting and Costumes!
