The stars of The Bear are stepping out for the night!

Co-stars Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri posed separately on the red carpet as they arrived at the 2026 Golden Globes on Sunday (January 11) at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Fellow cast members in attendance included Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, and Matty Matheson.

Jeremy and Ayo were both nominated tonight for their roles in The Bear while the series was nominated for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy. Jeremy is also nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for his role in Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere.

Be sure to tune in for the Golden Globes at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on CBS. The show is hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser for the second year in a row, and honors the best in both movies and television. The Bear has become a huge TV phenomenon!

The Emmy-winning series, which follows Jeremy Allen White‘s Carmy and his crew of chefs working at a restaurant in Chicago, first premiered on FX and Hulu back in 2022.

The cast also includes Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Liza Colon-Zayas, and Lionel Boyce.

Ella McCay currently has a 22% Rotten score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Wall Street Journal says: “Ella McCay is not quotable. It is not believable. It is not likable. It’s not even digestible. For an ordinary filmmaker, it would be merely a disaster. For James L. Brooks, it’s more like a tragedy.”

The New York Times says: “Ella McCay is a bizarre movie that would have worked better if it went all-in as an homage to another era. Since we won’t get to see that version, you’ll just have to buckle up and enjoy the very strange ride.”

The Associated Press gave it 1 out of 4, and says: “It’s hard to understand how Ella McCay, the first original feature from writer-director Brooks in 15 years, goes so utterly haywire. Is this really the same mind that wrote the memorable Broadcast News? Terms of Endearment? As Good As It Gets?”

The Daily Beast says: “Its phoniness epitomized by Emma Mackey’s lead turn, it’s the biggest dud of the artist’s career, and the holiday season’s most egregious misfire.”

IndieWire gives it a B, writing: “Watching Ella McCay can sometimes feel like time travel, particularly for those vested in bygone eras of American filmmaking, but if you’re capable of tuning into its wavelength, an old but worthwhile spirit can be found.”

Variety says: “Everything about Ella McCay feels outdated…there’s a clunkiness here that suggests test screenings or studio notes cost the movie key exposition (establishing why Ryan’s a liability, for example, or explaining the cringey dynamic between Ella and her driver).”

The New York Post gave it 1 out of 4, writing: “This sloppy slog is terrible; short, but interminable.”

The Guardian gave it 2 out of 5, writing: “Ella McCay is, first and foremost, a mess — a clunky collection of incoherent characters and confounding plot that seem to defy basic story logic at every turn, and not in a surprising or intriguing way.”

The 29-year-old actress had the support of boyfriend Martin Aleman at the world premiere of her new movie Ella McCay on Tuesday (December 9) held at El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, Calif.

If you didn’t know, Emma and Martin made their public debut at the 2023 BAFTAs when they shared a kiss as she stood to accept the Rising Star Award. They were last seen together at the 2025 LIDO Festival in London back in June.

THR says: “It seems almost implausible that the gifted filmmaker who just gave us the sizzling buoyancy of Challengers and the heady intoxication of Queer could deliver something so dour and airless.”

Observer gives it 2 out of 4 stars, writing: “The star-studded After the Hunt has a lot on its mind about human complexities, but largely expresses these notions in didactic form and through dramatic conflict that all but resolves itself halfway through the movie’s languid 2 hours and 18 minutes.”

Rolling Stone says: “The result is just old-fashioned cinematic fools’ gold, in which sensationalistic blather poses as social commentary. It takes a lot of hard work and the perfect alignment of movie stars to make something this god-awful.”

Pedro Pascal, Margot Robbie, Kendall Jenner, and Penelope Cruz attended the Chanel Womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 Show on Monday (October 6) held at the Grand Palais in Paris, France.

The show marked Matthieu Blazy‘s debut collection with Chanel since being named the new Creative Director of the century-old French fashion house beck in December 2024. Before joining Chanel, Matthieu worked as the Creative Director at Bottega Veneta.

“I think I’m like less online than I used to be — yeah, clap for peace of mind — so I didn’t really, to be completely honest. And I love to lie! I make money on it!” said The Bear star, via Entertainment Weekly.

She added, “I didn’t really pay too much attention, but I mean, it was just a very human moment. And I think, in a strange way, uncomfortable conversation, that’s kind of one of the many things our film is about. So shout out to Italians, I don’t know.”

The interviewer who prompted the whole thing was Italian journalist Federica Polidoro, who had the chance to chat with Ayo and her co-stars Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield during the Venice Film Festival.

The two lead stars of The Bear both decided to skip the awards show on Sunday night (September 14) despite being nominated.

Jeremy, 34, was nominated for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series while Ayo, 29, was actually nominated for two awards – Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. Sadly Jeremy and Ayo did not win.

Ayo Edebiri is getting attention online for the way she handled an uncomfortable interview moment while promoting her new movie.

The After the Hunt actress was in the middle of a group interview with co-stars Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield at the 2025 Venice Film Festival.

During the discussion for ArtsLife TV, the interview asked only Julia and Andrew to comment on the #MeToo and Black Lives Matter movements, calling them done “done.”

Julia, visibly confused, then asked the interviewer to repeat the question, and clarify who the question was for because the interviewer was wearing sunglasses.

Once it was repeated again to Andrew and Julia, Ayo interjected while looking surprised: “I know that that’s not for me, and I don’t know if it’s purposeful if it’s not for me… [but] I don’t think it’s done,” she said, with Julia and Andrew agreeing.

“I don’t think it’s done at all. Hashtags might not be used as much, but there’s work being done by activists and people every day that’s really important…that work isn’t finished at all.”

Andrew agreed, adding that the movements are “still absolutely alive.”

Journalist Federica Polidoro then issued a statement on social media amid much scrutiny and criticism for the question online.

“I have been subjected to personal insults and attacks because of a question that, for some reason, was not well received by some members of the public. I find it striking that those who unjustly accuse me of racism and consider themselves custodians of justice find acceptable violent language, personal attacks, and cyberbullying,” she wrote.

“Journalism’s role is to ask questions, even on delicate topics, with respect and responsibility. I will not tolerate or accept defamatory or violent language, and I reserve the right to seek legal protection against those who, in recent days, have chosen to hide behind the digital mob to insult and attack me instead of seeking a civil and constructive discussion.”

The stars are arriving in town for the 2025 Venice Film Festival!

Jacob Elordi, Ayo Edebiri, and more were seen arriving in town ahead of their premieres on Thursday (August 28) in Venice, Italy.

“I do think that like there’s something about seeing people where they’re really passionate or where they’re excelling at something, it can feel exciting and charged…but I do think it’s professional, and I do think if anything were to happen, it would not be the show that we’re making. And I also think it would be so crazy. That man is crazy and that girl is a bad communicator! The restaurant would blow up in like three seconds if anything ever happened.”

The FX on Hulu series follows Carmy, a fine dining chef who returns to Chicago to take over his late brother’s sandwich shop. With Syd as his sous-chef, the pair transform the space into an acclaimed restaurant.

Carmy previously had a romance with childhood friend Claire (played by Molly Gordon), but the two split in Season 2. Claire returned in Season 4, sparking unresolved tension.

After premiering its fourth season in June, The Bear was officially renewed for Season 5 in July.

Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle are heading to the Great White Way!!

The 29-year-old Emmy-winning The Bear star and the 60-year-old Oscar-nominated actor will be starring in the upcoming Broadway revival of David Auburn’s Tony Award-winning play Proof, according to Variety.

Tony-winning Hamilton director Thomas Kail will direct the strictly limited engagement at the Shubert Theatre in Spring 2026.

Proof “tells the story of a brilliant but troubled mathematician, his daughter and the blurred line between genius and madness.”

“It’s hard to find the right words when talking about a text as rich and witty and full as David’s – what I can say is how deeply grateful I am for this incredible opportunity,” Ayo shared in a statement. “I can’t believe my good fortune that I not only get to go to Broadway with this play, but have the opportunity to work alongside Don Cheadle, Tommy Kail, and such an amazing team around us.”

“I couldn’t be happier for the opportunity to return to the stage in this remarkable play with this level of talent assembled to pull it off,” Don said. “As a father of two, both around the same age as Ayo, I’m excited (if not a little nervous) to dig into all the father/daughter messiness, not to mention the mental health challenges the family faces.”

Previews are set to begin March 31st and the official opening night is slated for April 16th.

Here’s the synopsis of the movie: The film is a gripping psychological drama about a college professor (Roberts) who finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star student (Edebiri) levels an accusation against one of her colleagues (Andrew Garfield), and a dark secret from her own past threatens to come into the light.

After the Hunt hits theaters in select locations on October 10 before hitting theaters widely on October 17.

Exciting news for fans of The Bear!

Just a week after the fourth season premiered on FX on Hulu, the network has announced that the Jeremy Allen White-starring series will return for season five, according to THR.

“The Bear continues to be a fan favorite worldwide, and their response to this season — as seen through incredibly high viewership — has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons,” FX chairman John Landgraf shared in a statement. “Year-in and year-out, [creator] Chris Storer, the producers, cast and crew make The Bear one of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story.”

Seasons three and four were filmed back-to-back and the cast is expected to return to set later this year, with the new episodes debuting in 2026!

Also starring in the series are Ayo Edebiri, Liza Colon-Zayas, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce and Matty Matheson.

The Bear is “about food, family and the insanity of the grind. It’s a losing battle every day in the restaurant business, and as Carmy pushes himself harder than ever and demands excellence from his crew, they do their best to match his intensity. Their quest for culinary excellence propels them to new levels and stresses the bonds that hold the restaurant together.”

The Bear has become a huge TV phenomenon!

The Emmy-winning series, which follows Jeremy Allen White‘s Carmy and his crew of chefs working at a restaurant in Chicago, first premiered on FX and Hulu back in 2022.

The cast also includes Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Liza Colon-Zayas, and Lionel Boyce.

Ayo Edebiri is the lady in red while stepping out to film an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday (June 17) in Hollywood.

The 29-year-old actress brought along her cute Chihuahua mix pup Gromit for the outing to promote the upcoming fourth season of The Bear.

During her time on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ayo dished on Ayo Day in Boston, her high school nicknames, and co-writing on an episode of her Emmy-winning FX series.

When asked which episode she helped write, unsure, Ayo responded, “I think it’s four.”

“That came to happen because we were talking about the season and I feel like a similar thing sort of happened last season where I directed an episode, where we were just talking to Chris [the showrunner], and Chris sort of has an idea,” Ayo shared. “That sort of came about and then I got to co-write it with Lionel Boyce, who plays Marcus on the show, and yeah, it’s really fun. There’s some cool people in it.”

Jimmy Kimmel then asked if anyone complained about the lines she wrote for them.

“No, no, no. I don’t, not to my face,” she replied with a laugh. “But it’s cool too ’cause I feel like, you know, it was something that’s… I started out writing for TV, and I feel like acting has informed my writing so much. Now that I know what it’s like to be on set, it’s like yeah, I think Sydney might just only want to say ‘mhm’ during this scene, you know? It’s not like a monologue.”
