Simu Liu and Melissa Barrera are teaming up for a new thriller series!

On Monday (December 8), Peacock debuted the first trailer for the upcoming series The Copenhagen Test starring the 36-year-old Barbie actor and the 35-year-old Scream actress.

Here’s the synopsis: “This espionage thriller series follows first-generation Chinese-American intelligence analyst Alexander Hale (Liu) who realizes his brain has been hacked, giving the perpetrators access to everything he sees and hears. Caught between his shadowy agency and the unknown hackers, he must maintain a performance 24/7 to flush out who’s responsible and prove where his allegiance lies.”

Kelli O’Hara is nominated for her eighth Tony Award tonight and is considered a frontrunner for the win!

The beloved Broadway actress looked stunning in a pink gown on the red carpet at the 2024 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 16) at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.

Kelli was joined at the event by her Days of Wine and Roses co-star Brian d’Arcy James.

Kelli is nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical and Brian is up for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical. This is her eighth nomination and his fifth nomination. While Kelli previously won in 2015, Brian has not yet won a Tony.

Rachel McAdams and Sarah Paulson showed support for the theater community during their night off from Broadway.

The actresses, who are Tony Award frontrunners this year, attended the 2024 Manhattan Theatre Club Spring Gala on Monday night (May 20) in New York City.

Rachel is currently starring in the play Mary Jane and Sarah is starring in the play Appropriate. They are both nominated for Best Actress in a Play and are considered the two frontrunners for the win.

Also in attendance at the gala were Sarah‘s co-star Corey Stoll, Days of Wine and Roses co-stars Kelli O’Hara and Brian d’Arcy James, The Who’s Tommy‘s Ali Louis Bourzgui, Cabaret‘s Bebe Neuwirth, Hell’s Kitchen‘s Kecia Lewis, Suffs‘ Nikki M. James, and The Notebook actors Joy Woods, Jordan Tyson, and John Cardoza.

All of Broadway’s biggest stars were in attendance at the 2024 Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Event to kick off the theatre awards season!

Major Hollywood celebs like Rachel McAdams, Eddie Redmayne, Gayle Rankin, Alicia Keys, Daniel Radcliffe, and more were at the event on Thursday afternoon (May 2) at Sofitel New York in New York City.

Just days earlier, all of these stars earned Tony nominations for their work in the 2023-2024 Broadway season.

The 77th Annual Tony Awards will air live on CBS on Sunday, June 16 and it’s taking place at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts for the first time.

Make sure to check out the full list of nominations, led by Alicia‘s musical Hell’s Kitchen and the hit play Stereophonic, both with 13 nods each.

The full length trailer for Pain Hustlers has arrived!

Here’s a synopsis: Liza Drake (Emily Blunt) is a blue-collar single mom who has just lost her job and is at the end of her rope. A chance meeting with pharmaceutical sales rep Pete Brenner (Chris Evans) puts her on an upwards trajectory economically but dubious path ethically as she becomes entangled in a dangerous racketeering scheme. Dealing with her increasingly unhinged boss (Andy Garcia), the worsening medical condition of her daughter (Chloe Coleman), and a growing awareness of the devastation the company is causing forces Liza to examine her choices. Pain Hustlers is a sharp and revealing look at what some people do out of desperation and others do out of greed.

Jay Duplass and Brian d’Arcy James also star.

Expect the film to drop on Netflix on October 27, 2023 with a short theatrical window on October 20 as well.

The two Oscar-winning actresses posed together on the red carpet at the She Came To Me premiere on Tuesday (October 3) held at The Metrograph in New York City.

The first trailer for the upcoming movie She Came to Me has been released ahead of the film’s theatrical release next month.

Peter Dinklage, Anne Hathaway, and Marisa Tomei star in the new movie from writer and director Rebecca Miller, who happens to be married to Oscar-winning actor Daniel Day-Lewis.

Here’s the synopsis: “Just weeks before the deadline for his latest commission, composer Steven Lauddem (Dinklage) has lost the creative spark that brought him international acclaim. At the urging of his ever-patient wife Patricia (Hathaway), he searches for inspiration on the Brooklyn waterfront and finds it in Katrina (Tomei), a thrill-seeking tugboat captain docked in Red Hook, who soon has Steven questioning everything in his life. Meanwhile, Patricia is experiencing a spiritual crisis of her own that she conceals under a mask of tranquil perfection. As Patricia and Steven wrestle separately with their doubts, their 18-year-old son Julian (Evan Ellison) embarks on a romance with 16-year-old Tereza (Harlow Jane) which threatens to derail both their futures.”

Joanna Kulig and Brian d’Arcy James also star in the movie as the “disapproving parents” of Tereza.
