Selena Gomez is stepping out to support Amanda Seyfried at a screening of her new movie!

The 33-year-old singer/actress shared a big hug with the 40-year-old Emmy-winning actress at the screening and reception of the new movie The Testament of Ann Lee on Friday evening (December 12) in Los Angeles.

Amanda‘s co-star Lewis Pullman was also at the event along with director Mona Fastvold and screenwriter Brady Corbet.

Other famous guests in attendance at the event Casey Affleck, Kiernan Shipka, Max Minghella, filmmaker Sammi Cohen, and Slip actress Zoe Lister-Jones.

The movie is described by the festival as “an epic fable inspired by the life of Ann Lee, the founder of the Shakers, a radical religious movement that began in the late 1700s.”

In a recent interview, Amanda said that she had to change her singing style for her role in the movie.

The Testament of Ann Lee hits theaters on Christmas Day, December 25.

Kristen Stewart is stepping out to promote her directorial debut with the help of longtime friend and former co-star Dakota Fanning!

Film Independent hosted a special screening of the 35-year-old Oscar-nominated actress’ new movie The Chronology of Water on Sunday (November 9) held at The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills in West Hollywood, Calif.

Following the screening, Kristen sat down for a Q&A moderated by Dakota, 31.

If you didn’t know, Kristen and Dakota have been friends for years after starring in four Twilight movies together and also the 2010 movie The Runaways.

Also in attendance at the screening was Zoe Lister-Jones.

Written and directed by Kristen, The Chronology of Water is based on the memoir by Lidia Yuknavitch, and “follows a woman (Imogen Poots) who emerges from an abusive childhood and channels her trauma into competitive swimming, sexual exploration, toxic relationships and addiction, before eventually discovering her voice as a writer.”

Earlier this month, Kristen picked up her first award for director!

The Chronology of Water will be released in select theaters on December 5 followed by a nationwide release in January 2026.

Italian fashion brand Max Mara is celebrating women in film with the 2025 WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award award recipient cocktail event.

Max Mara celebrated Maude Apatow by gifting her this year’s Face of the Future Award and ahead of the awards ceremony, there was an exclusive gathering held at the Chateau Marmont on Wednesday (November 5) in Los Angeles.

Sarah Paulson, Kate Hudson, Naomi Watts, Kathy Hilton, and Maude‘s parents Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow were among the many stars in attendance.

This year marks 20 years of the award. Maria Giulia Prezioso Maramotti, granddaughter of the founder and Max Mara Fashion Group board member, hosted the celebration, which featured music from DJ Mia Moretti.

The co-stars posed for photos together at the premiere of Queer on Wednesday night (November 13) held at the DGA Theatre in Los Angeles.

Cast members from the upcoming movie Pavements stepped out to premiere the film at the 2024 New York Film Festival!

Zoe Lister-Jones, Michael Esper, and Kathryn Gallagher all walked the red carpet at the event on Wednesday (October 2) at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York City.

Also in attendance were co-stars Logan Miller and Fred Hechinger, plus writer and director Alex Ross Perry.

Pavements integrates “archival footage of the band Pavement at the height of their cult popularity, newly shot material following them during their recent comeback tour in 2022, and a kaleidoscope of semi-scripted contemporary scenes about the shooting of a movie within the movie.”

Kathryn explained her role in the movie on TikTok, explaining, “Two years ago I did a very short run of a musical and when I announced it, a lot of people were like, ‘Really? That’s the band they’re doing a jukebox musical with?’ People were surprised! We opened. We had a couple shows. We got some really mixed reviews… What we didn’t tell anyone was that it was going to be part of this movie.”

FYI: Kathryn is wearing an Acne Studios dress, Paul Andrew shoes, a Gedebe bag, and jewelry by Anabela Chan and Nadri.

So many stars stepped out to attend The BAFTA TV Tea Party presented by Delta Air Lines, Virgin Atlantic, BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions and FIJI Water on Saturday (September 14) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
