NBCUniversal is kicking off Emmy Awards season by bringing its stars together in one room!

The entertainment company hosted an Emmy season kick-off luncheon on Friday afternoon (April 11) at the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles.

The annual event celebrated the talent behind NBCUniversal’s Emmy-eligible shows. This includes shows and movies on NBC and Peacock, as well as shows that Universal Content Productions has made for other streamers, like Netflix’s A Man on the Inside and Max’s Hacks.

Some of the talent in attendance included Renee Zellweger, Amanda Seyfried, Natasha Lyonne, Tina Fey, Colman Domingo, Aja Naomi King, and AnnaSophia Robb, among others.

Emmy nominations will be announced on July 15 and the ceremony will be hosted on September 14.

Karla Sofía Gascón, Zoe Saldaña and Selena Gomez step out on the pink carpet for the Netflix and Elle Latinas in Hollywood celebration held at Tudum Theater on Saturday night (November 16) in Los Angeles.

The ladies were in attendance as the second annual event featured a special toast to them for their new movie Emilia Pérez.

Also in attendance were Christina Milian, Victoria Justice and sister Madison Reed, Karla Souza, Selenis Leyva, Jessica Marie Garcia, Stephanie Beatriz, Yaya De Costa, Natalie Morales, Laysla de Oliveira, Aimee Carrero, Mayan Lopez, Annie Gonzalez and Lilah Richcreek, as well as Elle magazine’s editor-in-chief Nina Garcia.

“As a proud Latina, I find it my responsibility at ELLE to create spaces for diversity to flourish and to celebrate the many talents of the Latin community, which is a shared mission of Netflix,” Nina shared in a statement. “Tonight, we were so excited to honor the incredible Emilia Pérez and bring together Latinas across the entertainment industry to toast three true powerhouses: Zoe Saldaña, Selena Gomez, Karla Sofia Gascón. Their performances, while each incredible on its own, show that when we come together, it’s possible to create something completely original and game-changing.”

If you didn’t know, Emilia Pérez is now streaming on Netflix.

Lopez vs Lopez season three premieres TONIGHT (October 18)!

The comedy television show kicks off it’s new season on NBC on a new night and time.

Season three is set to “follow the Lopez family planning a wedding, with Mayan and Quinten navigating how marriage will change their relationship while Rosie and George bond as they face their own mortality… The family will work on healing from their painful pasts before the big day arrives,” according to The Wrap.

Lopez vs Lopez will air Friday nights at 8:30pm ET/PT on NBC, following new comedy Happy’s Place.

George Lopez was noticeably missing from the 2023 Golden Globes announcements.

The 61-year-old comedian was the planned announcer but he shared on Instagram that he had just tested positive for COVID.

“And the Covid goes too…….George Lopez!” he wrote on Instagram Sunday evening. “Unfortunately I tested positive, so I’m unable to announce the Golden Globe Nominees. I wish MAYAN and SELENIS the best of luck….. Have fun!!”

Lopez vs. Lopez is going all out for their Christmas episode and bringing fans the reunion they’ve been waiting for.

The special episode will reunite key members of the George Lopez show cast!

Constance Marie, Valente Rodriguez, Belita Moreno, and Luis Armand Garcia will reunite with George Lopez 15 years after the George Lopez series ended.

Here’s a summary of the episode: To get Mayan’s divorced parents to spend Nochebuena together, she must convince Rosie to hand in her Christmas crown and George to give up the thing he loves most: beer.

With guests coming, can the Lopezes stick together or will they wreck the halls?

Lopez vs. Lopez‘s “Lopez vs. Christmas” episode will premiere on Friday, December 16 at 8 p.m. on NBC.

John Boyega knows that people are comparing him to Denzel Washington, but he’s not here for it.

The 30-year-old actor stepped out this week for the premiere of his new movie Breaking on Wednesday night (August 24) at The London in West Hollywood, Calif.

John was joined at the event by co-stars Nicole Beharie, Connie Britton, and Selenis Leyva, as well as writer and director Abi Damaris Corbin.

The movie, which also stars the late Michael K. Williams, follows a Marine war veteran who faces mental and emotional challenges when he tries to reintegrate back into civilian life. The film is getting comparisons to Denzel‘s John Q and the phrase “John is Denzel” was recently trending on Twitter.

The Disney+ series Diary of a Future President has been renewed for a second season!

The scripted series follows the adventures of Elena Cañero-Reed (Tess Romero) as she navigates the ups and downs of middle school on her journey to become the future president of the United States.

Also starring in the series are Charlie Bushnell, Selenis Leyva, and Michael Weaver, plus executive producer Gina Rodriguez has appeared as the adult Elena in flash forwards!

The second season of Diary of a Future President will have 10 episodes that will stream exclusively on Disney+.
