The 32-year-old Wicked star hosted the late night weekend sketch show on Saturday (December 20), and was joined backstage by some of her loved ones and longtime friends.
Longtime BFF Elizabeth Gillies shared some snapshots from the dressing room, posting photos with Ariana‘s boyfriend Ethan Slater and other friends like Courtney Chipolone, Doug Middlebrook and Aaron Simon Gross.

Elizabeth Gillies and Ariana Grande are supporting each other long after their days on Victorious.
Elizabeth, 31, is currently starring in the off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors alongside Milo Manheim, 24. In late April, Elizabeth took to Instagram to share snapshots of Ariana visiting the show backstage with her boyfriend Ethan Slater.
“THANK YOU FOR COMING TO THE SHOP, MY DINGUS!!,” she captioned photos of her and Ariana holding up small plants.
“You are beyond brilliant!” Ariana replied.

Elizabeth Gillies was overjoyed seeing familiar faces while celebrating her most recent production.
The 31-year-old actress and singer is currently playing Audrey in an off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors. March 5 marked opening night, and there to support her were former Victorious co-stars Avan Jogia, Daniella Monet, and Lane Napper.
In a new interview, Elizabeth opened up about getting to reunite with the group.
“Oh my god, it meant so much to me. I love them so much, it meant the world to me that they were there,” she told Paper.
She then gave details about how the costars spent their time together.
“We spent the whole next day walking through Central Park and getting coffee at different places because we couldn’t stop talking and hanging out and reminiscing. It’s always so exciting to hear about how everyone has grown and evolved and to hear about everyone’s success now,” she added.

Elizabeth kicked off her run as Audrey in the musical last week, alongside fellow newcomers Milo Manheim (Seymour) and Jeremy Kushnier (Dr. Orin Scrivello DDS).
Other stars in attendance included former Audrey actresses Sarah Hyland and Jinkx Monsoon, Debra Messing, Gracie Lawrence, Peppermint, Erika Henningson, Bonnie Milligan, Aaron Simon Gross, Kalen Allen, Graham Phillips and Raul Esparza, as well as Milo‘s mom Camryn Manheim, and his School Spirits co-stars Nick Pugliese, Miles Elliot and Jess Gabor.

The 31-year-old Dynasty actress celebrated Smile Train‘s World Smile Day with a visit to the skyscraper on Friday (October 4) in New York City.
Elizabeth joined Smile Train’s President and CEO Susannah Schaefer to raise awareness for the organization, which is the world’s largest cleft charity.
She wrote on Instagram, “My first time at the Empire State Building! Thank you, @empirestatebldg for having me and thank you @smiletrain for giving me the honor of lighting the ESB blue in honor of National Smile Day! Continuously blown away by the incredible work this organization does. Very special day 💙.”

The 30-year-old actress most notable starred on the Nickelodeon series Victorious, which was created by Dan Schneider. She also reprised her role on the spinoff Sam & Cat, appeared on Big Time Rush and starred in the animated Winx Club series.
