The 2026 BAFTA Film Awards are happening now!

The 79th British Academy Film Awards take place Sunday (February 22), celebrating the best national and foreign films of 2025, at the Royal Festival Hall in Southbank Centre in London, England.

The awards ceremony honors the best feature-length films and documentaries of any nationality that were screened at British cinemas in 2025, and are being hosted by Alan Cumming for the first time.

E! will air the ceremony for the first time as a pre-recorded special, starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Jessie Buckley and her movie Hamnet won big at the 2026 Irish Film & TV Awards!

The Oscar-nominated actress picked up the Best Lead Actress award at the event on Friday (February 20) at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre in Dublin, Ireland.

The movie also won the awards for International Film, Best Script, and Best Lead Actor for Paul Mescal.

Other attendees of the event included Cillian Murphy with wife Yvonne McGuinness, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Ciaran Hinds.

Lola Petticrew accepted Best Lead Actress – TV Drama for Trespasses, Anthony Boyle was there to received Best Lead Actor – TV Drama for House of Guinness, and Alison Oliver accepted the award for Best Supporting Actress – TV Drama for Task.

More celebs who showed up included Tom Cullen, Saipan nominee Steve Coogan, House of Guinness nominees Jack Gleeson and Fionn O’Shea.

The trailer for the Peaky Blinders movie, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, has confirmed that Barry Keoghan is set to play Tommy Shelby’s son!

Here’s a synopsis: Birmingham, 1940. Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) is driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet. Taylor Swift is explaining all the details and easter eggs fans might have missed in her “Opalite” music video!

The 36-year-old singer shared a new extended music video on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and Amazon Music that includes all kinds of behind-the-scenes goodies, per E! News.

Cillian Murphy is celebrating his return to the 28 Days Later franchise!

The 49-year-old Oscar winner joined the other film stars Jack O’Connell, Alfie Williams, Erin Kellyman, and Chi Lewis-Parry at the world premiere at BFI IMAX Waterloo on Tuesday (January 13) in London. Ralph Fiennes also stars but did not appear to be at the premiere.

Cillian is reprising his role as Jim in the upcoming sequel 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple from director Nia DaCosta and writer Alex Garland. Danny Boyle, who directed 28 Days Later and last year’s 28 Years Later, returns as a producer.
