Saturday Night Live has launched the careers of so many superstars.

The beloved NBC sketch comedy series has given a platform to countless talented stars to go on to become legends in the industry. And while they’ve fostered plenty of talent, producers of the show have also passed on a surprising amount of hilarious hopefuls who found success their own way.

Over the years, celebrities have revealed that they auditioned to be on SNL, and they were either fully rejected or eventually brought on as writers.

Many of them went on to become successful in their own right, and hosted the show themselves.

The co-stars posed for photos together at the premiere of Happy Gilmore 2 on Monday evening (July 21) held at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City.

Fellow cast members in attendance included Julie Bowen, Margaret Qualley, Christopher McDonald, Haley Joel Osment, and Benny Safdie.

The ladies of The White Lotus are together again!

Season three stars Michelle Monaghan, Carrie Coon, and Leslie Bibb posed together on the blue carpet as they arrived at the 2025 Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront on Wednesday (May 14) held at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Fellow stars in attendance included Anderson Cooper, The Pitt‘s Noah Wyle, former NBA player Shaquille O’Neal, Emmy winner Tony Shalhoub, former WNBA player Candace Parker, Peacemaker actors John Cena and Tim Meadows, CEO of DC Studios James Gunn, and former pro hockey player Henrik Lundqvist along with Have I Got News for You stars Amber Ruffin, Michael Ian Black, and Roy Wood Jr.

Olivia Rodrigo is one of the biggest artists in the world right now and she has used her platform to support reproductive rights.

The 22-year-old singer was honored for her activism while attending the 2025 Planned Parenthood Spring Into Action Gala on Thursday night (April 24) at Cipriani South Street in New York City.

Olivia was joined at the event by fellow singer Lily Allen and her BFF Iris Apatow.

In conjunction with her GUTS world tour, Olivia launched Olivia Rodrido’s Fund 4 Good, a global initiative committed to building an equitable and just future for all women, girls and people seeking reproductive health freedom. A portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales on her tour went towards the Fund 4 Good.

Amber Ruffin is openly criticizing the White House Correspondents Association’s recent decision to cancel her hosting duties at the 2025 WHCA Dinner.

The 46-year-old comedian addressed the situation while appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday (March 31).

“If there’s one thing I learned from this weekend, it’s, you have to be fair to both sides. When bad people do bad things, you have to treat them fairly and respectfully. When you watch The Sound of Music, you have to root for the singing children and the other people. Calling them [Nazis] is so one-sided,” she joked to Seth.

Amber Ruffin is no longer performing at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner this year.

The upcoming event, which is being held on April 26th, will move continue without a featured performer this year, according to THR.

Back in February, Amber was announced as the performer, with the White House Correspondents’ Association president saying she was at the top of his list for this year.

The 56-year-old Late Night With Seth Meyers writer and star will host the annual event, which raises funds for the White House Correspondents’ Association.

It’s set to take place Saturday, April 26 in Washington, D.C.
