'The Night Agent' Season 3 Cast Updates: 6 Actors Returned, 2 Who Didn't, Plus 6 New Stars Revealed!

The third season of The Night Agent just dropped on Netflix and there are a lot of changes to the cast of the beloved action series.

Way more actors are returning for season three than last time around. We also know about multiple exits from the cast, plus some exciting new stars joining the show.

This post does NOT contain spoilers for what happens in season three.

“We wanted Season 2 to stand on its own, and I feel like Season 2 has a satisfying conclusion, but also platforms and sets up a couple of things that will be part of Season 3,” series creator Shawn Ryan told Deadline. “I don’t view it as one extended season that’s being divided into two seasons, I view it as one specific story that ends but has some consequences to how Peter ended it that he’ll have to clean up as part of Season 3.”

“There will be new storylines in Season 3 that don’t relate at all to anything in Season 2. We want the seasons to feel separate, but there will be some carryover, and there will be some actors from Season 2 that carry over to season three,” he added.

Gabriel Basso is stepping out to promote the new season of his hit Netflix series!

The 31-year-old actor hit the red carpet at a special screening of The Night Agent season three on Wednesday night (February 11) held at Netflix Tudum Theater in Los Angeles.

Fellow cast members in attendance included Fola Evans-Akingbola, Ward Horton, Albert Jones, Genesis Rodriguez, David Lyons, and Louis Herthum.

Gabriel Basso is back as Night Agent Peter Sutherland in the new trailer for The Night Agent season three!

The Netflix series will return late this year with a brand new season, with several new and returning stars.

“I think now that Peter isn’t having to balance his personal life and work life, he’s become more ‘monomaniacal,’” Gabriel told Tudum. “Whether that’s a defense mechanism or whether it’s for the better, I guess it’s up to the viewer to decide. As for me, I enjoyed being able to fully commit to a capable and more focused version of Peter.”

Season three of The Night Agent will be coming to Netflix in February 2026 and there will be a lot of cast changes for the upcoming installment of the series.

Way more actors are returning for season three than last time around. We also know about multiple exits from the cast, plus some exciting new stars joining the show.

Netflix's 'A House of Dynamite' Cast Comes Together for L.A. Red Carpet Premiere!

The cast of Netflix’s new movie A House of Dynamite came together for the L.A. premiere!

Gabriel Basso and Kaitlyn Dever were among the actors from the ensemble cast who stepped out for the event on Thursday night (October 9) at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood.

Missing from the event were lead stars Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, and Jared Harris, but many cast members did attend, including Tracy Letts, Jonah Hauer-King, Brian Tee, Brittany O’Grady, Willa Fitzgerald, Kyle Allen, Aminah Nieves, and Brett Tomberlin.

Director Kathryn Bigelow and producer Greg Shapiro were also there!

Here’s the film’s synopsis: “When a single, unattributed missile is launched at the United States, a race begins to determine who is responsible and how to respond.”

Watch the trailer for the movie, which is in theaters now and will debut on Netflix on October 24.
