Blake Jenner is back to his musical roots and he’s leading an L.A. production of The Wedding Singer: The Musical Comedy.

The 32-year-old actor, best known for playing Ryder Lynn on Glee after winning the reality competition series The Glee Project, is playing Adam Sandler‘s role Robbie Hart in the musical version of the classic movie.

Blake took to his Instagram account after opening night to express his gratitude to the cast and crew.

“This past weekend we officially opened The Wedding Singer. To say that I’m eternally grateful to/proud of this entire cast and crew would be an understatement. I’m crazy about each and every one of them,” Blake wrote.

He added, “Thank you to @psirulehpro & @michaeldonovancasting for this incredible experience, your leadership, & guidance throughout this entire process. Big thanks to @michelleelkin for making this schmuck look like he’s got some rhythm 😉😎. @madisonaisanaye you da best dance captain anyone could ask for 🙌🙌. Also, huge thank you to @brentcrayon, music extraordinaire, so so grateful to you, Brent 🙏 We couldn’t have done it without ya, brother 😎🙏.”

Blake Jenner is pleading no contest.

The 30-year-old actor, who won the second season of Oxygen’s The Glee Project and played Ryder Lynn on Glee, entered the plea regarding his DUI charge in a deal that will allow him to receive no jail time, according to new court documents.

Blake was arrested back in July while driving through California, reportedly failing to stop at a red light.
