Acapulco is coming back for one more season!

The Apple TV+ comedy returns for it’s fourth and final season at the end of this month, with new episodes running through September.

Here’s a synopsis: In season four, present-day Máximo (Eugenio Derbez) works tirelessly to restore Las Colinas to its former glory before the grand reopening. In 1986, when a competitor claims the number one spot in the annual ranking of Acapulco’s “Best Hotels,” young Máximo (Enrique Arrizon) will do whatever it takes to get back on top and secure Las Colinas’s future.

Eugenio Derbez is now issuing an apology to Selena Gomez.

If you missed it, the 63-year-old Acapulco star recently criticized the 32-year-old entertainer’s performance in her recent movie Emilia Pérez, along with her Spanish speaking in the film.

“I feel like what happens is they don’t speak Spanish,” he said on the Hablando de Cine podcast. “If you watch a Russian film or a German film that is subtitled in Spanish and you see someone [speaking in the original language], you say, ‘Oh, look. OK. How interesting.’”

Selena then caught a clip of his comments on TikTok, where she commented that she understood where he was coming from, but did the best she could.

Now, Eugenio has formally apologized to Selena, calling his comments “careless” and “indefensible.”

The focus of the critique seemed to be on the actress’ Spanish in the movie. She is not fluent in the language but delivered lines in Spanish.

Acapulco, which recently wrapped airing it’s third season in June, centers on Maximo Gallardo’s dream coming true when he gets the job a lifetime at Acapulco’s hottest resort, Las Colinas. But he soon realizes that working there will be far more complicated than he ever imagined.

The 2024 Governors Awards brought out so many stars for the big event!

Stars including Margot Robbie, Florence Pugh, Leonardo DiCaprio, Zac Efron, and hit the red carpet at the 14th annual event on Tuesday evening (January 9) held at The Ray Dolby Ballroom in Hollywood, Calif.

During this year’s Governors Awards, Angela Bassett, filmmaker Mel Brooks, Sundance Institute’s Michelle Satter, and editor Carol Littleton will all be awarded honorary Oscars for their contributions to the film industry.

Eugenio Derbez will be undergoing a complicated surgery after suffering an accident, his wife Alessandra Rosaldo has announced.

The 60-year-old star, known for his work in recent films like The Valet, Coda, and many more, will apparently have a long recovery process and will have to undergo rehabilitation therapies.
