Freakier Friday may be in its third weekend in movie theaters, but Lindsay Lohan is still making sure people are going to see the film!
The 39-year-old actress continued the promo trail for her Disney movie while attending a special Y2K-themed screening on Friday night (August 22) at AMC Lincoln Square in New York City.
Lindsay told fans at the event, “This is, like really heartwarming for me. And I’m just, I feel so grateful. And I love you guys! I’m so overwhelmed being here in New York at a theater with everyone. Thank you so much for coming and supporting. This movie, it came together because of you guys. Because of the fans. It’s just been such a labor of love.”
Fans at the screening were treated to some goodies like t-shirts and other merch. Lindsay also snapped photos with a bunch of fans!
Freakier Friday has grossed $93 million at the worldwide box office so far!
Last week, it was announced that Lindsay has signed on for an exciting new TV series.
Jamie Lee Curtis is surrounded by familiar faces!
The 66-year-old actress attended a special Freakier Friday screening at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles on Friday (August 15). Attendees at the screening were encouraged to “Dress Like Tess” and take some inspiration from Jamie‘s character in the movies.
Jamie shared a group photo with some of the attendees on her Instagram. In the photo, she’s surrounded by a group of fans that donned red pixie wigs and boho-inspired floral dresses straight out of the first Freaky Friday film.
“THE ULTIMATE OF HONORS, the SINCEREST form of flattery,” Jamie captioned the photo with her group of lookalikes.
For the event, Jamie dressed up as her own character, choosing to pick one of the looks from the sequel for her outfit. Jamie kept her hair down and wore the same gray, off-the-shoulder suit with a wide black belt that she wore in part of Freakier Friday.

Mark Waters directed Lindsay Lohan in two of her most iconic films, Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, but he was not invited back for Freakier Friday.
The director is now sharing his reaction to not being involved in the sequel to his hit movie.
“Yeah, unfortunately, I was not invited to the party,” Mark told Variety. “I did raise my hand and say I’d love to be involved somehow, even in a kind of godfather aspect or executive producer. But I was not extended an invitation.”
