The new show Countdown features a huge surprise in its opening moments.

In the opening few moments of the Prime Video thriller’s series premiere, there’s an unexpected appearance from a big star.

Here’s a plot summary for the TV show: “When an officer with the Department of Homeland Security is murdered in broad daylight, LAPD detective Mark Meachum, portrayed by Jensen Ackles, is recruited to a secret task force, alongside undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement, to investigate. But the hunt for the killer soon uncovers a plot far more sinister than anyone could have imagined, kicking off a race against time to save a city of millions.”

Eric Dane, Jessica Camacho, Violett Beane, Elliot Knight, and Uli Latukefu all star in the show, which opens with a special guest.

Eric Dane is hitting the red carpet at the premiere of his new Prime Video series.

The 52-year-old actor held hands with girlfriend Janell Shirtcliff at the premiere of Countdown on Wednesday (June 18) held at the Harmony Gold Theater in Los Angeles.

The event marked the first red carpet event Eric has attended since going public with his ALS diagnosis in April.

Meghann Fahy and Brandon Sklenar pair up on the black carpet at the LA premiere of their new movie Drop held at TCL Chinese Theatre on Tuesday (April 8) in Los Angeles.

The 34-year-old actress and the 34-year-old actor showed off their smiles as they walked the carpet together and separately ahead of the movie’s theatrical release.

The leads of the upcoming thriller movie were joined by their co-stars Violett Beane, Reed Diamond, Gabrielle Ryan, Jeffery Self, Ed Weeks with wife Alma Guðmundsdóttir, and Travis Nelson, as well as director Christopher Landon and producers Cameron Fuller and fiancée Phoebe Dynevor, Brad Fuller, Michael Bay and Sam Lerner.

Drop follows Violet (Fahy), a widowed mother on her first date in years, who arrives at an upscale restaurant where she is relieved that her date, Henry (Sklenar) is more charming and handsome than she expected. But their chemistry begins to curdle as Violet begins being irritated and then terrorized by a series of anonymous drops to her phone.

She is instructed to tell nobody and follow instructions or the hooded figure she sees on her home security cameras will kill Violet’s young son and babysitting sister. Violet must do exactly as directed or everyone she loves will die. Her unseen tormentor’s final directive? Kill Henry.

The Wrap reports that Mandy Patinkin and Violett Beane will star opposite Lauren Patten, Rahul Kohli, Angela Zhou, Hugo Diego Garcia, and Pardis Saremi in the series.
