The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants cast almost looked very different!

Blake Lively, America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn played best friends united by a pair of pants that followed them on huge adventures in two movies starting back in 2005.

The women are still supporting each other in 2024. In fact, America, Amber and Alexis recently issued a statement in support of Blake amid her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni.

They are part of what made the franchise as successful as it is, but we’ve learned that several other big actresses were in the running for the roles.

Producer Debra Martin Chase named six stars who were could have played Carmen, Tibby, Lena and Bridget during an appearance on the Hollywood Gold podcast.

The shortlist included one actress who was famous for her role on The O.C. and several other young actresses who have gone far in Hollywood. Debra shared insight into how they selected each person for their roles and opened up about the challenges behind the decisions.

The stars are being honored being by Harper’s Bazaar!

Reese Witherspoon, Aimee Lou Wood, and Jade were among the honorees at the 2025 Women of the Year Awards on Thursday (November 6) held at Claridge’s in London, England.

During the ceremony, Reese was honored as the Cultural Icon as Aimee was honored as the Television Actress of the Year for her role in The White Lotus, and Jade as honored as Musician.

Gillian Anderson was honored as the Entrepreneur for her functional-drinks brand G Spot, soccer star Chloe Kelly was honored as the Sportswoman, Erin Doherty was honored with Performance of the Year for her role in Adolescence, Nia DaCosta was honored as Director for her new movie Hedda and Mia Threapleton was honored as the Breakthrough for her roles in The Buccaneers and The Phoenician Scheme.

Other stars in attendance included America Ferrera, Olivia Wilde, Cheryl, Nathalie Emmanuel, Melanie Chisholm, Owen Cooper, and Ncuti Gatwa.

The fifth annual Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Gala brought out all the stars!

The celeb-filled event raised over $12 million to support the museum’s exhibitions, education initiatives, and public programming, including screenings, K-12 programs, and access initiatives in service of the general public and the local community of Los Angeles, per the Academy.

Matthew McConaughey and co-star America Ferrera pose for a photo at the UK premiere of their new movie The Lost Bus held at Curzon Mayfair on Sunday (September 28) in London.

The 55-year-old actor was also joined by his wife Camila Alves McConaughey, and the two were seen sharing a kiss on the red carpet.

Co-writer and director Paul Greenglass also posed for photos with Matthew and America.

The Lost Bus is based on real events and adapted from Lizzie Johnson’s non-fiction book, “Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire.” It is described as “a white-knuckle ride through one of America’s deadliest wildfires as a wayward school bus driver (McConaughey) and a dedicated school teacher (Ferrera) battle to save 22 children from the terrifying inferno.

The upcoming movie is slated to hit theaters on September 19th, and streams on Apple TV+ on October 3rd. Check out the trailer here!

Matthew McConaughey makes The Lost Bus premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival a family affair on Friday night (September 5) Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto.

The 55-year-old star of the upcoming movie was joined by his son Levi and mom Kay, who are both in the movie, as well as his wife Camila Alves McConaughey.

Also stepping out were his co-stars America Ferrera with husband Ryan Piers Williams, Yul Vazquez with wife Linda Larkin, and Ashlie Atkinson, as well as writer/director Paul Greengrass and producers Jamie Lee Curtis and Jason Blum.
