Kal Penn and Abbie Cornish got into character while filming a scene at the 2024 WeHo Pride Parade on Sunday (June 2) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 47-year-old actor and the 41-year-old actress recreated Anna Nicole Smith‘s 2005 WeHo Pride Parade appearance for their upcoming movie, Trust Me, I’m a Doctor.

Kal will be playing Anna‘s doctor, Dr Sandeep Kapoor, in the film, which is based off of Kapoor‘s 2017 book of the same name. Abbie, of course, will be portraying Anna Nicole.

“I am beyond excited to announce that I will be playing Anna Nicole Smith in the upcoming feature film Trust Me I’m A Doctor with @kalpenn directed by @thaneeconomou 🙏💖✨,” Abbie shared on Instagram in early May.

While at the parade, Kal shared a couple photos on his Instagram story from filming, revealing it was their last day on the movie.

Kal Penn has been cast to star as a pivotal person in the final days of Anna Nicole Smith‘s life.

The 46-year-old actor has been cast to portray Dr. Sandeep Kapoor in the upcoming movie Trust Me, I’m a Doctor, according to Variety.

The news comes nearly three weeks after the 17 year anniversary of the late model and actress’ death.

On Thursday (September 7), Larry Birkhead took to Instagram to pen a sweet tribute to his and the late model’s daughter on her birthday.

Anna Nicole Smith wasn’t expecting meeting her biological father to go the way that it did.

The late star is featured in a new documentary Anna Nicole Smith: You Don’t Know Me, which was released by Netflix this week. Anna‘s girlfriend, Melissa “Missy” Byrum says the incident took place when Anna met up with her biological father Donald Hogan and her half-brother Donnie Hogan.

“She told me that her father had tried to have sex with her,” Missy said. “I was really sad to see that. She was so so disappointed.”
