Netflix has finally announced the premiere date for their new show about President James Garfield!
The streaming service has revealed that the upcoming series Death by Lightning, starring Michael Shannon as the 20th President of the United States, will be premiering later this year on November 6.
The 4-episode limited series also stars Matthew Macfadyen as Charles Guiteau, Nick Offerman as Chester Arthur, Bradley Whitford as James Blaine, Shea Whigham as Roscoe Conkling, and Betty Gilpin as Crete Garfield.

Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are starring in a new rom-com for Netflix!
As previously revealed, the two stars have been attached to Office Romance since September 2024, an upcoming movie that he also co-wrote with Joe Kelly.
Exact plot details are being kept under wraps at this time, but as production kicks off on the project, the streamer has just revealed the stacked cast!
“Every day I come to work to do a rom-com with Jennifer Lopez and this incredible cast, and I expect people to jump out and tell me I’m being pranked,” Brett shared in a statement, via Tudum. “Hasn’t happened yet, so maybe this is real?”

It was a star-studded night on Broadway over the weekend when Jennifer Lopez and Meryl Streep showed up to the same performance of Oh, Mary!
The beloved entertainers watched Betty Gilpin lead the show on Saturday night (March 8) at the Lyceum Theatre in New York City.
Meryl was joined by rumored boyfriend Martin Short for a date night while Jennifer attended the show with her Office Romance co-star Brett Goldstein. If you didn’t know, Betty is also in the movie with them, so they were there to support her!
After the show, all the stars went backstage to say hello to Betty and the cast.
Betty has one more week in the show before Tituss Burgess takes over for a limited three-week engagement. Original star and playwright Cole Escola will return in April.
Betty Gilpin just made her Broadway debut!
The Emmy Award-nominated actress took her first bow in the hit play Oh, Mary! on Tuesday night (January 21) at the Lyceum Theatre in New York City.
Betty took over the role of Mary Todd Lincoln from the show’s original star and writer Cole Escola, who departed the play this past weekend. She is joined in the cast by newcomers Phillip James Brannon as Mary’s Husband and Chris Renfro as Mary’s Teacher, as well as original stars Bianca Leigh as Mary’s Chaperone and Tony Macht as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.
Oh, Mary! is the first show in the 121-year history of the Lyceum Theatre to ever gross more than $1 million in a single week and the show has since broken its own box office record eleven times.

The Emmy-nominated actress took her opening night bow in the new play Cult of Love on Thursday night (December 12) at the Hayes Theater in New York City.
Shailene is starring in the play alongside Zachary Quinto, Barbie Ferreira, Chris Lowell, Molly Bernard, and more.
Here’s the play’s synopsis: “It’s the holiday season for the Dahl family! The four adult children return to their childhood home with partners in tow. The Dahl traditions include singing carols in harmony at the drop of a hat, but the gathering is anything but harmonious. Old conflicts resurface, new issues battled, and dinner is taking absolutely forever to be served. Will the love the Dahls have for each other be enough to get them through, or will this be their last Christmas together?”
