Sofia Coppola is being honored!

The 54-year-old Academy Award-winning writer, director, and producer was celebrated at the Museum of Modern Art’s 2025 Film Benefit, presented by Chanel, on Wednesday night (November 12) held at the MoMA in New York City.

Joining Sofia at the event was her husband Thomas Mars and their two daughters Romy, 18, and Cosima, 15, along with her brother Roman Coppola and their cousin Jason Schwartzman.

Stars in attendance included Elle Fanning, Lupita Nyong’o, Josh Hartnett, Rose Bryne, Bill Murray, David Letterman, Olivia Wilde, Fala Chen, and Derek Blasberg.

During the event, Elvis Costello took to the stage for a performance.

The 2025 Cannes Film Festival hosted the world premiere of The Phoenician Scheme at the Grand Théâtre Lumière on Sunday (May 18) in Cannes, France.

The latest film from director Wes Anderson features a star-studded cast ensemble, following his Asteroid City in 2023 and The French Dispatch in 2021.

Stars of the film, including Michael Cera, Riz Ahmed, Benicio del Toro, Rupert Friend, Mia Threapleton, Jeffrey Wright, Benedict Cumberbatch, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Antonia Desplat, and Bill Murray, were all in attendance.

Eva Longoria, Stella Maxwell, Alexander Skarsgard, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Charlotte Le Bon, Julianne Moore, Edward Norton, Shauna Robertson, Shia LaBeouf, Leila Slimani, Alba Rohrwacher, Jeremy Strong (in Loro Piana), and Halle Berry were all in attendance as well.

Here’s a plot summary of the black comedy, via Deadline: The Phoenician Scheme follows “the complex relationship between the immensely wealthy and powerful armaments and aviation magnate Zsa-zsa Korda (Benicio del Toro), considered one of Europe’s richest men, and his only daughter, Sister Liesl (Mia Threapleton), a nun. Despite having ten children, Korda designates Sister Liesl as his sole heir, a decision that places them both squarely in the crosshairs of scheming tycoons, foreign terrorists, and relentless assassins as Korda ventures into a new business endeavor.”

The film will first have a limited release in theaters on May 30 before expanding to a wide release on June 6. Click here to watch the trailer!

Naomi Watts has her family’s support at the premiere of her new movie, The Friend!

The Oscar-nominated actress was joined by her husband Billy Crudup and her 16-year-old daughter Kai Schreiber at the premiere on Monday night (March 24) at the iPic Theater in New York City.

Also in attendance at the event were Naomi‘s co-stars Bill Murray, Sarah Pidgeon, Constance Wu, Noma Dumezweni, Felix Solis, Owen Teague, Carla Gugino, and Josh Pais.

Based on the bestselling novel, writer and teacher Iris (Watts) finds her comfortable, solitary New York life thrown into disarray after her closest friend (Murray) leaves her his beloved 150 lb. Great Dane Apollo, immediately creating practical problems, from furniture destruction to eviction notices, as well as more existential ones. Yet as Iris finds herself unexpectedly bonding with Apollo, she begins to come to terms with her past, and her own creative inner life in this story of healing, love, and friendship.

Bing, the Great Dane who stars in the movie, also attended the event. Naomi‘s dress matched his spots!

The Friend will be released in theaters on March 28.

In case you missed it, Kai made her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week just a couple weeks ago.

Kate Hudson and Cher participated in the ninth annual LOVE ROCKS NYC benefit concert on Thursday night (March 6) in New York City.

The event, which raises funds for God’s Love We Deliver, was hosted at Beacon Theatre and included performances from a slew of celebrities.

After dropping her debut album Glorious in 2024, Kate showed off her glam rock aesthetic in a sequined black dress on the red carpet before hitting the stage. She slicked her hair back into a sleek ponytail and finished off the look with a dramatic smoky eye.

Meanwhile, Cher channeled Elvis Presley while onstage. She wore a wig that recreated the King’s iconic pompadour and paired it with a pinstriped blazer.
