Rachel Boston and Brendan Penny have both been making Hallmark Channel movies for the past decade, but they’re working together for the first time with 2025′s new Christmas film The More the Merrier.

The two actors actually bonded one year ago while setting sail on the first-ever Hallmark Christmas Cruise. They also just sailed again this month for the latest vacation!

“We met one year ago on the cruise and just cracked each other up,” Rachel told EntertainmentNow. “They paired us up in a lot of the different events they had on the boat, and then we got to make a Christmas movie.”

Hallmark Channel is ready to spread holiday cheer!

The network has announced the return of the Countdown to Christmas programming event for its 16th year.

The network will deliver nearly 80 hours of all-new festive content across 10 weeks, including original movie premieres every Saturday and Sunday night, plus special holiday TV shows on Fridays and Mondays.

Fans can look forward to heartwarming holiday romances, magical stories and uplifting stories of families and communities coming together, starring some of your favorite Hallmark stars.

Music superstar Brad Paisley even wrote an original song (“Counting Down the Days”) for the first-look promo for this year’s event!

Hallmark Channel will be hitting the seas with 18 of your favorite actors later this year and the full cast of the 2025 Hallmark Christmas Cruise has been revealed!

The 2025 cruise will take place from November 6 to November 10 and tickets are already sold out. The cruise, aboard the Norwegian Joy, will sail from Miami, Florida to Cozumel, Mexico. There’s still one way to get a room on the ship if you don’t already have tickets.

Every guest is guaranteed a seat for the ship-exclusive world premiere of a new Hallmark Countdown to Christmas movie. You can expect panels with your favorite Hallmark stars, game shows like “Festive Feud” and “A Very Merry Christmas Match,” cocktail tastings, bingo, and so much more.

The news about the 18 actors joining the 2025 cruise comes just days after the premiere of Hallmark’s new docu-series Christmas at Sea, giving fans an inside look into the inaugural cruise from last year.

There are five Saturdays in May, so that means five movie premieres for the “May for Moms” series.

The final three films are all part of the Love on the Danube series, which debuted on the streaming service Hallmark+ last year. They will be aired on Hallmark Channel for the first time as part of “May for Moms.”
