Hallmark Channel star Robbie Simpson is getting married!

The 36-year-old actor, who was one of the memorable contestants on Finding Mr. Christmas season two, just got engaged to boyfriend Kyle Pollak.

Robbie popped the question in a surprise proposal in Sydney, Australia, where he was spending time with Kyle while working on the international play Afterglow. After appearing in the New York cast of the play years ago, Robbie is currently part of the creative and producing team to bring the show to other countries.

People reports that Robbie planned a romantic surprise for Kyle in Sydney.

Robbie Simpson has cemented himself as a frontrunner on the Hallmark Channel competition series Finding Mr. Christmas with multiple wins in the “Star Quality” challenges over the past few weeks.

Hallmark is searching for its next leading man, with the winner of the series earning a role in an upcoming Christmas movie.

There are currently six contestants remaining on the reality series and we caught up with Robbie to learn more about him. For those who don’t know, he has been representing the LGBTQ+ community on the show and comes from a musical theatre background!

1. I was a full-blown band geek in high school. Trumpet and Baritone Horn. Yes… I went to band camp.
2. I’ve run four marathons: three in New York and one in Columbus, Ohio. The real endurance test? Not complaining about it afterward.
3. My first crush was Carson Daly on TRL. The man had a countdown, a headset, and my heart.
4. I used to tutor the LSAT. Elle Woods voice: “What, like it’s hard?”
5. My mom once won a Blue Ribbon at the Westminster Dog Show. So technically, we’re a champion bloodline.

Robbie Simpson won the “Star Quality” competition on this week’s Finding Mr. Christmas and he had all of his friends by his side to watch the episode at a New York City viewing party!

We have exclusive photos from Robbie‘s watch party, which featured a FaceTime appearance from the show’s host Jonathan Bennett.

Robbie co-hosted the party with fellow contestant Rustin Cole Sailors at the Hell’s Kitchen gay club Balcon Salon on Monday night (November 17) in New York City.

They were also joined by drag queen Jackie Cox and season one winner Ezra Moreland and season one contestants Parker Gregory and Elijah Malcomb.

There are currently six men remaining in the competition to become Hallmark Channel’s next leading man, with the winner getting a starring role in an upcoming movie. New episodes air on Monday nights at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel and next day on Hallmark+.
