The upcoming television series Ripple was originally ordered for the Hallmark+ streaming service, but it appears it was dropped by the streamer and it’s now debuting on Netflix instead.
What’s on Netflix reports that Netflix has licensed Ripple from Lionsgate Television and will drop the first season on December 3.
Ripple “follows Walter, Kris, Nate, and Aria, four New Yorkers who have unknowingly crossed paths countless times without ever meeting. As each character confronts personal challenges, their choices set off a ripple effect that gradually draws them together. The show leans into a message of resilience and optimism, reminding viewers to wait for the rainbow because some of the best things in life cannot happen without the storm.”
Julia Chan, Ian Harding, Sydney Agudong, and Frankie Faison star in the new series.
While the show doesn’t appear on Netflix’s “New in December 2025″ lineup, if you search for Ripple on your app, it lists the show as coming on December 3.
The recent Netflix hit The Hunting Wives also followed a similar trajectory as it was originally made for Starz, but debuted on the streamer instead.

The CW has made the decision to cancel Katy Keene after just one season on the network.
Fans shouldn’t give up hope just yet though because Deadline reports that the studio behind the show, Warner Bros. Television, is looking for a new home for the show. It’s being reported that the best bet is HBO Max as the show already has a streaming deal with the service.
The network had previously extended options on the cast to July 31, so that gives WBTV a full month to find a new network for the show. After that date, the cast has the option of looking for new jobs.
Katy Keene was a spinoff of the beloved Riverdale series. The show followed the lives and loves of four iconic Archie Comics characters — fashion legend-to-be Katy Keene (Lucy Hale), singer/songwriter Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray), performer Jorge Lopez/Ginger (Jonny Beauchamp), and “It Girl” Pepper Smith (Julia Chan) — as they chase their twenty-something dreams in New York City…together.
There were lots of other shows canceled by the major networks throughout the past couple months as well.
