The 2026 Independent Spirit Awards are happening now!

The awards show celebrates films budgeted at less than $30 million to produce and must be considered “independent,” as well as television categories.

The show is taking place live the Hollywood Palladium on Sunday (February 15) in Los Angeles.

This year, Netflix has by far the most nominations with 18 total. A24 is next, with 10 nominations total. There are familiar names on the list as well, with actors from The Pitt, Alien: Earth, and more being recognized.

Michael Cimino and Dafne Keen appear to be a new couple!

The 25-year-old Love, Victor actor and the 20-year-old Deadpool & Wolverine actress were spotted sharing a kiss and hug while saying goodbye after a weekend at Comic-Con on Monday morning (July 28) in San Diego, Calif.

Dafne was at the convention to promote her upcoming horror movie Whistle, which is slated to be released in theaters in 2026.

It’s not clear how long Michael and Dafne have been dating, but they recently were seen together in friend Amanda Diaz‘s YouTube vlog.

Some lucky fans even snapped pics with Dafne and Michael together while hanging out at the convention this past weekend.

Michael had his big break in the Hulu series Love Victor and he’s also known for his work in shows like Never Have I Ever and Motorheads. He most recently appeared in the movie Until Dawn.

Dafne had her big break as Laura / X-23 in the 2017 movie Logan, a role that she reprised in the 2024 movie Deadpool & Wolverine. She has also been seen in the shows His Dark Materials and The Acolyte.

Ryan Phillippe and son Deacon are stepping out for the premiere of their new Prime Video series!

The father-son-duo posed for photos together at the premiere of Motorheads on Tuesday (May 13) held at the Ted Mann Theater at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.

Fellow cast members in attendance included Nathalie Kelley, Michael Cimino, Melissa Collazo, Nicolas Cantu, Uriah Shelton, Drake Rodger, Johnna Dias-Watson, Josh Macqueen, Mia Healey, and Matt Lanter.

In Motorheads, Ryan, 50, plays a former NASCAR mechanic named Logan, whose brother Christian disappeared 17 years ago. As for Deacon, 21, he plays young Christian in flashback scenes.

In a recent interview, Ryan detailed the “unique experience” of having his son play his brother.

Motorheads hits Prime Video on May 20.

Vanity Fair and Instagram are hosting a massive, star-studded event to celebrate the stars of Young Hollywood!

Vanities: A Night For Young Hollywood took place on Wednsday night (February 26), and was co-hosted by Aaron Pierre, Anna Sawai, Keke Palmer, and Monica Barbaro at Bar Marmont in Los Angeles.

The event was part of VF’s Campaign Hollywood, an annual event series leading up to the 2025 Oscars. The party is a celebration of the year’s exceptional performances and highlights rising artists, storytellers, and innovators who are moving the culture forward.

Tequila Don Julio was the exclusive tequila sponsor, curating cocktails for the evening with a popup 1942 minibar. There were bites from Angelini Osteria and Devin Lucien and DJ Equal provided entertainment throughout the event.

It looks like Michael Cimino has a special someone in his life right now!

The Love Victor actor was spotted holding hands with singer-songwriter Nat Slater while stepping out on his 25th birthday.

The possible new couple was seen stopping by the farmers market on Sunday morning (November 10) in Studio City, Calif.

Nat just posted on Instagram the other day about moving to Los Angeles. She captioned a post, “dye ur hair pink & move to LA ✅🪄🧸.”

Michael is best known for playing the title character on the Hulu series Love, Victor and he has also been seen in the Netflix show Never Have I Ever, plus movies like Senior Year and Girl Haunts Boy.
