The trailer for Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen‘s new dramedy has been released!

On Thursday (February 5), Peacock debuted the first look teaser at the upcoming seriesThe Miniature Wife, starring the 51-year-old Pitch Perfect actress/director and the 51-year-old Emmy-winning actor.

Here’s the synopsis: “Based on the short story written by Manuel Gonzales, The Miniature Wife is a dramedy examining the power (im)balances between spouses after a technological accident induces the ultimate relationship crisis. A crisis is putting it mildly. Macfadyen and Banks star as Les and Lindy, a couple trying to keep their marriage together. The wrinkle is that Les has accidentally shrunk Lindy to six inches high, adding a high-concept twist to the relationship drama.”

The 2026 Super Bowl is being held this upcoming weekend and it looks like a lot of celebrities are going to be rooting for the New England Patriots to beat the Seattle Seahawks again!

The Pitch Perfect actress was there to present Outstanding Directing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie at the 2025 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 14) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Elizabeth Banks has booked her next role in a new true-crime series!

The 51-year-old Emmy-nominated actress has signed on to star in the upcoming limited series based on Karen Read‘s infamous court case, which Prime Video and Warner Bros. Television are developing.

Based on the Law & Crime and Wondery podcast Karen, the series follows “the trial that captivated the country and turned Read into a household name. When a Boston police officer is found dead in the snow, all eyes are on his girlfriend, Read. The case fractures a community, with some believing she is guilty of first-degree murder, and others that she’s the victim of a sweeping cover-up by state and local law enforcement. This series explores society’s obsession with true crime, the allure of conspiracy and the deepening crisis of trust in our institutions,” according to Deadline.

Elle Fanning is gushing about her upcoming role in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping!

The 27-year-old actress will be taking on the role of a young Effie Trinket in the prequel movie, which follows Haymitch Abernathy and his journey in the Fiftieth Annual Hunger Games.
