Dove Cameron is opening up about her past work and how many fans still see her as a Disney teen despite being 30 now.
She’s promoting her new series 56 Days, an erotic thriller on Amazon Prime Video, and spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about how she’s been perceived throughout her career.
Dove says there will always be those who hear her name and automatically connect it with who she was at 19, “platinum blonde and smiling at the camera.”

56 Days is here, and so are the first impressions.
Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia‘s new series is available to binge watch on Prime Video now, and all 8 episodes just dropped.
The show is based on Catherine Ryan Howard’s novel of the same name, but unlike the book, it’s not tied to COVID and doesn’t take place during a lockdown.
56 Days follows Oliver (Jogia) and Ciara (Cameron), who, after meeting randomly in a supermarket, fall for each other fast, and dangerously hard. Fifty-six days later, homicide investigators arrive at Oliver’s apartment to find an unidentified body—brutally murdered and intentionally decomposed. Did he kill her? Did she kill him? Intercutting between an intense single day in the present investigation, and the twisted trajectory of the young lovers’ affair in the past, the series is both a unique crime story and a riveting, sexy, psychological thriller.

Avan Jogia and Dove Cameron are continuing to promote their upcoming series 56 Days in New York!
The 34-year-old actor was spotted visiting NBC’s Today show on Tuesday (February 17) before joining his cast mates at the Empire State Building. Dove, 30, was also in attendance and previously went to Today on Monday (February 16).
For his Today show visit, Avan wore a sleek white outfit and then changed into a black ensemble for a visit to the Empire State Building.
On Monday, Dove wore a smart tie-and-butt-down-shirt combo with a large fur coat over top. Then for the skyscraper visit she was dressed in a gray blazer and trousers.
They were joined by their 56 Days co-stars Karla Souza and Dorian Missick.
The series begins streaming on Amazon Prime Video on February 18. Watch the trailer.

Dove, 30, was joined by fiancé Damiano David as Avan, 34, was joined by fiancée Halsey at the premiere of 56 Days on Wednesday night (February 11) held at Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.
Fellow cast members in attendance included Megan Peta Hill, Dorian Missick, Karla Souza, Kira Guloien, Jesse James Keitel, and Matt Murray.

Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia look extra stylish while promoting their new show 56 Days.
The two actors were at a Q&A held at the 14th SCAD TVfest on Friday (February 6) and later went to a special screening at Regal Atlantic Station in Atlanta, Ga. that same day.
56 Days is an erotic thriller series consisting of eight episodes based on Catherine Ryan Howard‘s novel of the same name. It will premiere this month on Amazon Prime Video. James Wan executive produced the series from developers Lisa Zwerling and Karyn Usher.
Dorian Missick and Karla Souza also star and were present at the events.
Dove recently shared the sweet way that she and her fiance Damiano David met.

Dove Cameron is opening up the story about how she met her now-fiance Damiano David.
The 30-year-old actress and singer first met Damiano, 27, while attending the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, where they were nominated for the same award… but they didn’t start dating until much later.
While appearing as a guest on the latest episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Dove opened up about how their meet-cute was “like fan faction.”

So many of music’s biggest stars stepped out for legendary music producer Clive Davis‘ annual party ahead of the Grammys!
Dove Cameron, Demi Lovato, Lizzo, Sombr, Laufey, and Olivia Dean were just some of the stars who attended the Pre-Grammy Gala & Grammy Salute to Industry Icons on Saturday night (January 31) in Los Angeles.
Republic Records co-founders Monte Lipman and Avery Lipman are being honored at the event.
“Monte and Avery are two of the music industry’s most illustrious leaders, and I am thrilled that they will be this year’s Salute to Industry Icons honorees,” Clive said in a statement. “Their longtime trailblazing commitment to supporting songwriters across the music spectrum as well as their staunch dedication to advocacy, diversity and equality in the music business are exemplary.
