Mod Sun is looking back at his “brutal” breakup from Avril Lavigne.

If you didn’t know, the relationship between the two musicians started off as strictly business as they worked on music together. They then revealed they were dating in February 2021. They announced their engagement in April 2023 then in February 2023 it was revealed that they had split.

In a new interview, Mod, 38, reflected on his breakup from the 41-year-old “Complicated” singer and shared how it forced him to work on his mental health.

Avril Lavigne opened up about love amid continued interest in her love life.

The 38-year-old “Complicated” hitmaker called off an engagement with fellow musician Mod Sun back in February. She was linked to Tyga shortly thereafter, though reports suggested that they called off their relationship in June.

It is currently unclear where she and Tyga stand romantically.
