Ashley Williams is one of Hallmark Channel’s most beloved actresses and she’s starring in another sister-bonding movie, though not with her real-life sister this time!

If you didn’t know, Ashley‘s actual sister is Kimberly Williams-Paisley and they previously teamed up for the Sister Swap movies.

Now, Ashley is starring alongside Laci J. Mailey in the new Countdown to Christmas movie An Alpine Holiday, set in the French Alps!

Here’s a synopsis: “A grandmother’s last wish brings two estranged sisters Faith (Williams) and Kelly (Mailey), back together to travel to the French Alps for Christmas to recreate her first trip there with their grandfather. Facing all the challenges and wonder this unique holiday adventure brings, they learn to cherish their sisterhood above all, while also making room for romance to blossom between Kelly and their French mountaineer guide, Frederic (Julien Samani).”

Hallmark Channel‘s Make Her Mark women’s directing program has announced its next participant class of aspiring filmmakers, including actress Nikki DeLoach!

Hallmark actor and creative partner Ashley Williams founded the on-the-job mentorship initiative to grant aspiring female filmmakers the opportunity to shadow an established Hallmark director throughout the entire production process of a Hallmark movie.

The first phase of the program sees the participants shadowing a director on a Hallmark movie set and they work towards the ultimate opportunity of directing a Hallmark movie, supported by their mentor.

“It feels like I jumped into my television and I’m actually living in a Hallmark movie” was one phrase overheard many times over four days on the 2025 Hallmark Christmas Cruise, which marked its second year in a new annual tradition for the network. 18 of Hallmark Channel’s biggest stars joined 4,000 diehard fans for a four-day journey from Miami to Cozumel and one thing was clear: it’s all for the fans.

Hallmark Channel has proven it’s never too early to start celebrating Christmas! Stars from the family-friendly network spent the week in Nashville, Tennessee, and JustJared.com got a behind-the-scenes look at how two days of festive events and fan experiences came together.

This year, Hallmark’s 24/7 schedule of Christmas content began on October 17, with all-new movies premiering every weekend until the end of the year. Twenty-four of the network’s biggest stars descended on Nashville, home of the highly anticipated movie A Grand Ole Opry Christmas.

One of Hallmark Channel’s distinguishing traits is the connection it maintains with its audience. In an era when celebrities often feel distant, the network’s talent continues to engage with fans through public appearances, convention meet and greets, and personal traditions that extend beyond the screen.

While Ashley is known for her roles on TV shows like How I Met Your Mother and Good Morning Miami, she has become beloved to fans for her work on Hallmark Channel for the past decade.

Ashley welcomed her brother-in-law Brad to the stage for a surprise performance at Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas Launch Party on Thursday night (October 16) at Category 10 in Nashville, Tenn.

During her speech introducing him to the stage, Ashley talked about her first time meeting Brad when he had started dating her older sister Kimberly Williams-Paisley and she also revealed that he’s Hallmark Channel’s biggest fan.

Hallmark Channel‘s Countdown for Christmas programming block for 2025 has arrived and the network brought together 24 of their biggest stars to celebrate the launch during two days of fun in Nashville!

Lacey Chabert, Tyler Hynes, Nikki DeLoach, Ashley Williams, Jonathan Bennett, and so many more were in attendance at the launch parties.

The festivities kicked off on Wednesday (October 15) with a holiday takeover of the Opry Plaza, where Hallmark’s upcoming movie A Grand Ole Opry Christmas was filmed. After an afternoon filled with on-stage introductions, meet and greets with fans, radio interviews, and festive holiday treats like hot chocolate and cannolis, the stars attended a performance at the Grand Ole Opry.

The events continued on Thursday night (October 16) at the bar Category 10, where fans were treated to a sneak peek of this year’s holiday programming, plus Country Christmas line dancing and special musical guests like Mickey Guyton and Drew Baldridge.

The network will deliver nearly 80 hours of all-new festive content across 10 weeks, including original movie premieres every Saturday and Sunday night, plus special holiday TV shows on Fridays and Mondays.

Fans can look forward to heartwarming holiday romances, magical stories and uplifting stories of families and communities coming together, starring some of your favorite Hallmark stars.

Music superstar Brad Paisley even wrote an original song (“Counting Down the Days”) for the first-look promo for this year’s event!
