Kristoffer Polaha is making his directorial debut with a new thriller that is hitting theaters this weekend, fittingly on Friday the 13th!

The beloved Hallmark Channel actor not only directed the new film Mimics, he also stars in and produces the movie.

Here’s the synopsis: “Down-on-his-luck impressionist Sam Reinhold makes a dangerous pact with Fergus — a wicked puppet with strings attached — in exchange for a shot at stardom. But as fame creeps closer, a nightmare begins to unfold, threatening everything and everyone Sam loves.”

Also starring in the film are Mōriah, Stephen Tobolowsky, Chris Parnell, Jesse Hutch, Jason Marsden, and Austin Basis.

Mimics hits theaters on Friday, February 13. Watch the trailer below!

Kristoffer will be in Reno, Nevada this week for the movie’s world premiere at the Pioneer Center. Check Fandango to see if the movie is playing at a theater near you!
