The second season of When Hope Calls is here!

Now a Great American Family series, the former Hallmark show just premiered on Pure Flix app and will debut on GAF this weekend.

The When Calls the Heart spinoff was first announced to return in September 2024, five years after the first season aired on Hallmark Channel.

There have also been two Christmas specials on Great American Family since that time.

News of the series’ pickup was first announced back in September, five years after the first season aired, and a few years after two Christmas specials debuted.

Keller Scott Fornes has sadly passed away at 32.

The actor was best known for playing Griffin on Great American Family’ original show County Rescue and he was set to begin production on season two later this month.

Keller died on December 19, 2024 in Eastland, Texas and a memorial service to honor his life is scheduled for January 11, 2025.

The devastating news about Keller‘s death was confirmed by Great American Family on Monday (January 6).

Candace Cameron Bure addressed her 2022 comments about “traditional marriage” amid her move from the Hallmark Channel to Great American Family.

The 48-year-old Full House alum signed a contract with the network after spending years working at Hallmark. In an interview at the time, Candace explained that she wanted to tell stories about faith.

When asked if Great American Family would highlight stories about same-sex couples, Candace sparked a backlash by saying that the network would likely focus on “traditional marriage.”

In a new interview, Candace reflected on people’s response to her move, saying that she felt “misunderstood.”
