Back in July 2024, the 56-year-old General Hospital actor announced that he and Vanessa, 58, were separating after 22 years of marriage. The two wed in 2002 and share two kids – son Lucas, 22, and daughter Leila, 19.
Cameron Mathison is opening up about being “hated” while starring on All My Children.
The 55-year-old soap opera actor met up with former co-stars Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos while being interviewed on their talk show Live! With Kelly & Mark on Monday (April 14) in New York City.
Cameron noted that he’s currently playing a villain on General Hospital and it’s something that he’s used to after playing one on All My Children back in the day.
“You know what, you guys? The only time I have ever played a character that’s been disliked this severely on soap operas in my life — and it’s been a stretch, almost 30 years — was when my character Ryan tried to break up Hayley and Mateo,” Cameron said, referring to Kelly and Mark‘s characters.
“Do you remember back in the day?” Cameron asked.
He added, “I had a bus pull over on Columbus Avenue, and the bus driver got off yelling at me saying, ‘Stay away from Hayley!’ I had people hating me! I’m like, ‘I’m a good guy!’”
The 55-year-old General Hospital actor, known for many roles in Hallmark movies as well, spoke out after losing his home amid the California wildfires.
“Just want to give everybody a really quick update,” he explained in a video on his social media.
“Since the fire, I’ve received so much unbelievable support and a lot of questions as to how I’m doing and if I have a place to stay now.”
He added that the “first three weeks were a little tricky,” but he’s got a new rental unit he’s staying at in Silver Lake, California.
Over 1,000 buildings have been destroyed amid the major fires raging through Los Angeles, and more than 30,000 people have evacuated, with several of them being well-known stars.
Sadly, several of those destroyed structures include peoples’ homes, and there are some celebrities included in that category as well.
Plenty of stars have spoken out on social media confirming that they are among those who have evacuated amid the damage and destruction. And sadly, some have confirmed that their homes are gone too.
Here’s a plot summary: “In Home Sweet Christmas, Sophie Marlow (Bure), a successful mergers and acquisitions attorney, is called home to Waynesbridge, Washington, following her great uncle’s passing. Uncle Henry left Sophie 60% ownership in his Marlow Maple Meadows, a sprawling patch of sugar maple forest. Though Sophie hasn’t been on the property in decades, she immediately begins retracing the happy steps of her youth before encountering Sam (Mathison), her long-lost, childhood friend. Sam has returned to the farm after learning Henry left him the other 40% of the property. The legacy property means a quick sale is likely, though Sophie and Sam will discover neither of them is ready to let go just yet.”
