WEEK 1 CLUES: The only clue viewers were really given is that Adam did confirm his celebrity relative is a singer, and if Adam sang during the talent show, it would be a dead giveaway because he sounds just like his relative.

WEEK 2 CLUES: When Gracie Lou went to Naomi for an exchange of information, Naomi told her she was very confident that Adam was related to Dustin Hoffman, with the feather duster, pirate clues (for Hook) and the gavel on the clue wall. So when Gracie Lou was the guesser, she tried that and it was wrong! No other clues were revealed for Adam‘s relative, other than it is NOT Dustin Hoffman.

WEEK 3 CLUES: While Miguel was in search of clues, Mackenzie offered to help him with decoding from the telephone challenge. She thinks that the island in the challenge was referring to the movie Madagascar, and the giraffe from the week before, leading her to think Adam could be related to David Schwimmer, who voiced the giraffe character in the movies. When she brought this up to Adam, he told her to deflect that guess to Matthew McConaughey to throw them off his relative.

WEEK 4 CLUES: In the challenge, Adam was asked… Is your relative an actor? Yes. Were they in the movie The Internship? Yes. Were they on Friends? Yes. Mackenzie is convinced he’s related to David Schwimmer or Owen Wilson. Adam is then asked if his relative has won a Grammy, to which he said yes, but they think it’s a lie. He was voted as the guesser and he got the first correct guess of the season, meaning he’s staying in the competition!

WEEK 5 CLUES: Adam revealed his celebrity relative babysat for Paula Abdul when he first moved out to California as a sort of side hustle to make some money. He also noted and confirmed all of the lightning bolt clues are for him during the challenge. His identity was guessed in the Guess Off by Dedrick, who posed Owen Wilson, for all the cars on the clue wall and the lightning bolt leading to the actor’s voice role as Lightning McQueen in Cars. Plus the whale and the sun on the wall combined making Wilson. However, this guess was wrong once again.

WEEK 6 CLUES: In the challenge, Shane got the clue, “This love ballad specialist gave Kelly Clarkson a true fan-girl moment when he surprised her by singing a duet with her on her talk show,” and thought it was for Mackenzie. However, it’s actually Adam‘s as later in the episode, Mackenzie revealed she got her own clue.

Adam‘s wine clue was finally pulled (by Hud) with the following emojis: a big pencil (not a small one), hair, the number 90 in a star, a person with a question mark on their head, a person holding a mic, a heart, a tennis ball, a “+” sign, and an advertising sign. After looking at the clue and sharing with others, they’ve concluded – long-haired 90s singer who… After seeing the clue, Shane guessed that clues on the wall for Adam‘s relative, include the guitar, a rock, a heart for love – rock of love, but he admitted he can’t think of his name right now. A rose was also shown as being on the clue wall, as it looks like the contestants are thinking of Bret Michaels, lead singer of rock band Poison, who sang the song “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn.”

WEEK 7 CLUES: In the two-part finale, Shane continued down the Rock of Love route, aka Bret Michaels. He confirmed that the clue from the previous challenge was actually for Adam and not Mackenzie like he originally thought. In the first challenge in the first half of the finale, Adam‘s clues were revealed as his relative’s nickname was Mr Time, Love and Tenderness, he’s known for music and a notable appearance was on The Masked Singer.

In part two’s challenge, Mackenzie noted there was no bandana on Adam‘s filtered billboard, so he can’t be related to Bret Michaels. Then, as the past contestants returned, Mackenzie got some help from Bianca who figured out Adam was related to Michael Bolton, and she noted it all made sense now! Adam then found himself as one of the first two in the final guess off, going up against Mackenzie. He correctly guessed her relative and moved on to the second guess, against Hud. He once correctly guessed and became the winner of the season!!

Adam‘s celebrity relative was then revealed and confirmed as Michael Bolton, who is his uncle. He shared that Michael is his mother’s brother.
