Outlander is set to return for an eighth and final season!

The seventh season of the hit, fan-favorite Starz series is coming to an end this month, but another one is already in the works.

Filming on the eighth and final season wrapped in September 2024 after months of filming.

Outlander spans the genres of romance, science-fiction, history and adventure in one epic tale. It follows the story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945, who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743 Scotland. When forced to marry Jamie Fraser, a chivalrous young Scottish warrior, Claire’s heart is torn between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.

Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are together again for the season five premiere of Outlander!

The stars walked the red carpet together for the season five premiere on Thursday evening (February 13) at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.

Fellow cast members at the premiere included Duncan Lacroix, Ed Speleers, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Lotte Verbeek, David Berry, Lauren Lyle, Richard Rankin, Sophie Skelton, and Yan Tual.

Outlander author Diana Gabaldon and executive producers Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, and Matthew B. Roberts were also in attendance.

During the premiere, it was revealed that the season five premiere has been released early – and you can watch it on the Starz app right now!

New episode of Outlander air on Sundays at 8pm ET on Starz.

FYI: Caitriona is wearing a vintage Chanel dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, and JAR from Beladora earrings while carrying a bag by The Row. Sam is wearing a Dzojchen suit, Christian Louboutin boots, and an Asprey watch.

Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan are giving a first look at Outlander‘s fifth season!

The co-stars took the stage for the show’s panel during 2019 New York Comic-Con on Saturday afternoon (October 5) at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

They were also joined by their cast mates Duncan Lacroix, David Berry and Maria Doyle Kennedy.

During the panel, the cast discussed the upcoming season and debuted the latest teaser trailer.

“It’s wonderful to play a relationship that keeps growing and deepening. It’s something you really see evidence of this season,” Caitriona said of Claire and Jamie’s relationship.
