The trailer for the eighth and final season of Outlander has been released!

On Thursday (January 29), Starz debuted the emotional trailer for the upcoming final season of the fan-favorite series that stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan.

Here’s the synopsis: “As Season Eight begins, Jamie and Claire soon find the war has followed them home to Fraser’s Ridge, now a thriving settlement that has grown and flourished in their absence. With new arrivals and changes made during their years away, the Frasers are confronted with the question of what they are willing to sacrifice for the place they call home and, more importantly, what they would sacrifice to stay together. While the Frasers keep a united front against outside intruders, family secrets finally coming to light threaten to tear them apart from the inside. Although they’ve left the war for America’s freedom behind, their fight for Fraser’s Ridge has only just begun.”

Starz has released the teaser for the upcoming final season of Outlander and confirmed the premiere date!

The timeless romance will return in March 2026. Along with the teaser and date reveal, Starz also dropped new key art from the season.

Sam Heughan has announced the launch of his new distillery in his Scottish hometown!

Galloway Distillery was co-founded by Sam and his business partner Alex Norouzi and it will be the home of their award-winning Sassenach Spirits label.

“Galloway is an inspirational place. It has unique heritage, folklore, landscapes, and people. Very accessible yet remains an undiscovered and ancient land. I created the Galloway Distillery to return to my roots and give back to the land where I was born. My purpose is to shine a light on this unsung corner of Scotland, that has so much to offer,” Sam said in a statement.

“This represents a true homecoming and new chapter, in the pursuit of fine Scottish spirits from this undiscovered and exceptional land, in the south of Scotland,” he added.

The distillery is currently open to visitors and will undergo further development over the next year to create a world-class visitor experience.

Currently the portfolio consists of The Sassenach, Blended Scotch Whisky and The Sassenach Wild Scottish Gin, launched in 2021 and 2023 respectively. The Galloway Distillery will celebrate its first release with The Sassenach Finest Scottish Vodka, scheduled for November 2025.
