The Starz period drama will come back for an eighth season, marking the end of the main series on the network, after first debuting in 2014.
Filming on the fan-favorite series’ final season took place in 2024, with the cast marking the end of an era as filming wrapped in September that year.

The Outlander stars stepped out for the “STARZ: Outlander: A Timeless Look Back at the Iconic Series and a First Look at the Final Season” panel at San Diego Convention Center.
Also in attendance for a panel right after was the cast of Outlander: Blood of my Blood – Harriet Slater, Seamus McLean Ross, Hermione Corfield, Jamie Roy, Rory Alexander and Sam Retford, as well as Raya Yarbrough, who sang “The Skye Boat Song” for Outlander‘s theme for the first six seasons, performed her version live in between the panels.
At the panels, a new teaser for Outlander‘s upcoming eighth and final season was shared, and the release time frame was revealed. There was also an exciting update on Outlander: Blood of my Blood.

Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe step out for 2024 New York Comic Con on Thursday (October 17) in New York City.
The Outlander stars were in attendance to chat up the upcoming second half of season seven, and they even debuted the trailer for the new episodes.
Also in attendance at Comic Con were their co-stars John Bell, Maril Davis, Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin, as well as author Diana Gabaldon, who wrote the books the show is based on.
