Milo Ventimiglia and Arielle Kebbel lead the cast of I Can Only Imagine 2 at the Nashville premiere!

Milo and Arielle accompanied their co-stars John Michael Finley, Sophie Skelton, Sammy Dell, and Trace Adkins to the film premiere at The Fisher Center for the Performing Arts in Nashville, Tenn. on Thursday night (February 12).

Dennis Quaid also stars.

I Can Only Imagine 2 is a sequel to the 2018 record-breaking-hit I Can Only Imagine, which brought in over $83 million at the box office.

Here is the official synopsis for the new film: “After the breakout success of the song ‘I Can Only Imagine,’ MercyMe’s Bart Millard (John Michael Finley) is living the dream—sold-out arenas, a devoted fan base, and a thriving career. But behind the spotlight, Bart’s past threatens the family he’s built, especially the fragile bond with his son, Sam (Sammy Dell).”

“When hopeful newcomer Tim Timmons (Milo Ventimiglia, This Is Us) joins the band for their biggest tour yet, he unknowingly brings a renewed gratitude to Bart’s life through their unlikely friendship. Bart soon discovers that Tim carries hardships—and secrets—of his own, forcing him to face his past and repair his relationships with Sam and his wife, Shannon (Sophie Skelton), before fame costs him what matters most. Based on the heartfelt true story behind the hit single ‘Even If,’ I CAN ONLY IMAGINE 2 is the inspiring next chapter of faith, family, and finding God in the fire.”

I Can Only Imagine 2 was directed by Andrew Erwin and Brent McCorkle, Brent also wrote the script.

I Can Only Imagine 2 is written by Brent McCorkle, who co-directs with Andrew Erwin.

The upcoming movie is slated to release in theaters on February 20, 2026!

The original movie brought in $83 million at the domestic box office.

Here’s a plot summary; “I Can Only Imagine 2 will continue the inspirational true story of Bart Millard, once again played by John Michael Finley.”

Other stars confirmed to return are Dennis Quaid, reprising his role as Arthur, and Trace Adkins, who returns as MercyMe manager Scott Brickell.

Milo Ventimiglia is joining the cast in a new role as singer/songwriter Tim Timmons.
