Candice King is have another baby!

On Monday (December 8), the 38-year-old actress, who played Caroline Forbes in The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, announced that she and fiancé Steven Krueger are expecting their first child together.

This will be Candice‘s third child. She shares daughters Florence, 9, and Josephine, 5, with ex-husband Joe King.

Candice King is explaining why The Vampire Diaries is off limits for now for her nine-year-old daughter.

If you didn’t know, the 38-year-old actress, who played Caroline Forbes on The CW series, shares Florence, 9, and Josephine, 4, with ex-husband Joe King.

In a new interview, Candice said that will “nothing will top” her time on The Vampire Diaries, she isn’t ready to let her daughter watch the show yet.

Candice recalled her daughter once saying to her, “It’s not like you’re in your bra and underwear or something,” so she had to explain that was actually part of her role.

“I’m like, ‘Well, Mommy’s in her bra and underwear, but it’s different because I was in the room with a lot of people. I was being paid,’” Candice told her daughter before realizing how that sounded.

“I was like, ‘No, no, no. That’s not the lesson here,’” she added.

She also reflected that in the majority of the first season she was in fact in her bra.

“That first season, I just remember, was hard on my dad. My parents didn’t understand,” she confessed.

Candice ultimately told Florence, “Mommy’s not ready to handle this, so we’re not going to watch it yet. So, it’s off the table.”

The 36-year-old The Originals star and the 38-year-old The Vampire Diaries star announced that they were engaged earlier this month.

“We are starting to have conversations,” he told The New York Post. “I think, for the moment, we are enjoying the engagement; we’re not going to rush it. We want to see how work stuff goes over the next year. But we are starting to toss around some ideas about where we want to do it [and] exactly what we want to do. There’s a lot of possibilities.”

“Right now, we are really debating if we want a big, traditional, fancy wedding or if we do a smaller thing with family and friends somewhere exotic,” he added. “I think once we settle on one of those, then we’ll have some things to bite into.”

Who from The Vampire Diaries and The Originals would be invited?

“I would assume most of them,” Steven said. “We are going to our friend Michael Trevino’s wedding, who is also on Vampire Diaries, in a few weeks. So there will be a lot of the cast there, and we’ll have most of the people at ours.”

“We have a bunch of group chats,” he added. “Little ones going and then these fan conventions all the time. It’s so fun because a few times a year, we all get together and reminisce about old times and just catch up with each other, and we don’t see each other all that much outside of it.”

Candice King has been cast in a brand new show!

The 36-year-old actress is set to join Mamie Gummer and Caitlin Fitzgerald in the TV adaptation of E Lockhart‘s novel We Were Liars, according to Deadline, which is set for Prime Video.

This will reunite Candice with The Vampire Diaries co-creator Julie Plec, who is developing the new series with The Originals and Roswell, New Mexico writer Carina Adly MacKenzie.

It was first revealed that Julie and Carina were developing the new show in January 2023, with Julie writing the first episode and Carina the second. They will also executive produce, along with author E Lockhart and Emily Cummins.

According to Deadline, the series is “a tragic love story and an amnesia thriller set on a privately owned island off the coast of Massachusetts. It centers on the wealthy, seemingly perfect Sinclair family, who spend every summer on their private island.”

Candice, Mamie and Caitlin will be starring as the Sinclair sisters, Bess, Carrie and Penny. Learn more about the characters below…

Bess Sinclair (Candice King) – Bess, the youngest sister, “never has a hair out of place, and if she gets her way (which she usually does) her three children wouldn’t, either. For those who don’t know, The Originals was a spinoff of the hit series The Vampire Diaries. Candice played Caroline Forbes on TVD and made several guest appearances on The Originals over the years while Steven starred as Josh Rosza throughout the five seasons of the spinoff.

Candice confirmed their relationship in a 2023 recap video that she shared on Instagram.

Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour is the new celebrity hot spot!

Every night during the 33-year-old “You’re On Your Own, Kid” singer-songwriter’s record-breaking trek, dozens of superstars are spotted enjoying the show, often showing off their experiences on their own social media, or being pictured trading friendship bracelets from the VIP section.

Producer Julie Plec took to social media to share a video of a multitude of castmates from both shows enjoying dinner together ahead of a convention in Georgia.

The brief clip featured cameos from a multitude of familiar faces including Paul Wesley, Danielle Campbell, Phoebe Tonkin and more!

“Had a bit of a family reunion last night,” Julie captioned the clip. Others who were in attendance included the likes of Candice King, Matthew Davis, Michael Trevino, Charles Michael Davis, Nathaniel Buzolic, Riley Voelkel and Steven Krueger.

E News noted that the cast got together ahead of the I Was Feeling Epic in Mystic Falls convention. Although Ian Somerhalder and Daniel Gillies were absent from the video, they both made it to the convention.

Series regulars such as Nina Dobrev and Kat Graham were not in attendance.

Candice King is cuffed in court in this pic from tonight’s new Lifetime movie, Suitcase Killer: The Melanie McGuire Story.

Also starring Michael Roark, Jackson Hurst and Wendie Malick, the movie is based on a shocking true story.

Here’s a summary: Melanie McGuire (King) was an exceptional fertility nurse, married to her ex-Navy husband Bill (Roark) and doting mother of two boys. When she falls for Brad (Hurst), a doctor at her clinic, and gets entangled in a steamy love affair, Melanie does the unthinkable.

After drugging and murdering Bill, she dismembers him and places the body parts into three suitcases, throwing them into Chesapeake Bay. But when the suitcases are found on the shores of Virginia Beach, an investigation is launched leading to Melanie as the prime suspect.

Led by the efforts of assistant attorney general Patti Prezioso (Malick), authorities eventually bring Melanie to justice, who despite being convicted, continues to maintain her innocence.
