The second season of The Night Agent is premiering on Netflix in less than two weeks and there is going to be a big shakeup to the cast.

Gabriel Basso is returning as FBI agent Peter. In the second season, the hunt for a CIA agent accused of leaking secrets puts Peter and Rose (Luciane Buchanan) in the crosshairs of a ruthless intelligence broker and a deadly war criminal.

We know that a bunch of actors from season one will not be back and 10 new leads have been announced for the new season. A third season is already in the works with six new cast members announced!

Netflix is preparing for the release of season two of The Night Agent and the official trailer is out now!

The Night Agent season 2 finally has a premiere date and first teaser, plus first look pics from Netflix!

Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent is a sophisticated, character-based, action-thriller centering on a low level FBI Agent , Peter Sutherland, whose efforts to save The President in Season 1 earn him an opportunity to become a Night Agent in Season 2. But working in the secretive organization of Night Action will propel Peter into a world where danger is everywhere and trust is in short supply.

Showrunner Shawn Ryan has revealed that the cast will look very different in season two as the storyline will follow a new case.

“In a Season 2, if we do one, I think it would be a whole new location with a whole new set of problems, and a small number of characters from Season 1 would be part of that, but mostly new characters would be surrounding them. And then, that would tell a one-season story,” Shawn told Collider.

There are five actors from the first season who are expected to return, five actors we know won’t be back (including a surprising one!), and now 10 actors have been announced to join the show.

Ian Somerhalder and his wife Nikki Reed leave 2016 Comic-Con together with the rest of his Vampire Diaries cast members on Monday (July 25) in San Diego, Calif.

Also seen leaving that day were Paul Wesley, Candice King, Zach Roerig, Michael Malarkey, and Kat Graham.

Ian Somerhalder keeps close with wife Nikki Reed inside Entertainment Weekly’s Comic-Con Bash held at Float, Hard Rock Hotel on Saturday night (July 23) in San Diego, Calif.

The couple joined birthday boy and Ian‘s co-star Paul Wesley and his girlfriend Phoebe Tonkin inside the party during 2016 San Diego Comic-Con.

Other The Vampire Diaries and The Originals stars, including Zach Roerig, Kat Graham, Candice King, Matt Davis, Michael Malarkey, Daniel Gillies, Charles Michael Davis, Joseph Morgan, Yusuf Gatewood, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Riley Voelkel and showrunner Julie Plec, also joined the party after stopping by SiriusXM’s Entertainment Weekly Radio Channel earlier in the day.
