It’s been nearly 10 years since The Vampire Diaries came to an end.

The popular CW supernatural drama aired it’s series finale in March 2017 after airing 171 episodes across eight seasons. It debuted in September 2009.

TVD also spawned two spinoffs – The Originals and Legacies - which both also aired on The CW, and there’s also been talk of a fourth series set in the universe.

Based on the book series by LJ Smith and created by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, the show centered on “seventeen-year-old Elena is torn between two vampire brothers, good Stefan and the evil Damon, who face new dangers in the town of Mystic Falls.”

The cast of the popular vampire series included Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Steven R McQueen, Kat Graham, Candice King, Zach Roerig, Michael Trevino, Matthew Davis.

Since it’s debut in 2009, the stars have gone on to have successful careers in Hollywood, and they have wracked up impressive fortunes in the process. But who is the wealthiest? The 2026 Film Independent Spirit Awards took place on Sunday afternoon (February 15) in Los Angeles.

The annual awards show, which celebrates the best in independent filmmaking, with budgets less than $30 million, and several television categories as well.

This year’s awards ceremony took place at the Hollywood Palladium, and saw tons of celebrities in attendance.

Netflix led the nominations with 18 total, and Adolescence swept the TV categories, plus A24 came in second with 10 nominations total!

The 2026 Independent Spirit Awards are happening now!

The awards show celebrates films budgeted at less than $30 million to produce and must be considered “independent,” as well as television categories.

The show is taking place live the Hollywood Palladium on Sunday (February 15) in Los Angeles.

This year, Netflix has by far the most nominations with 18 total. A24 is next, with 10 nominations total. There are familiar names on the list as well, with actors from The Pitt, Alien: Earth, and more being recognized.

The 37-year-old actress was spotted at a Los Angeles cafe with Glothar, the death-metal icon created by e.l.f. Cosmetics and Liquid Death for their various collaboration campaigns!

Nina and Glothar teamed up to promote the latest e.l.f. x Liquid Death collab, which is a collection of lip balms inspired by the drink’s variety of flavors. The balms come in Severed Lime, Killer Cola, and Doctor Death, along with coming with mini versions of the drink cans.

Nina Dobrev is returning to TV in a new series!

On Monday (November 17), it was announced that the 36-year-old Vampire Diaries actress will be starring in and executive producing Night Float, a new erotic thriller drama series that is being developed by playwright and screenwriter Lila Raicek.

Keep reading to find out more…Adapted by Lila from her play Vertebrae, Night Float “is described as a propulsive exploration of desire and power, obsession and betrayal set against the dark underworld of New York City,” according to Deadline. “When an alluring young woman (Dobrev) moves into hospital housing to live with her resident boyfriend, she becomes entangled with an older doctor who entices her to act as a runner in an illicit insider-trading ring.”

The upcoming series marks Nina‘s return to TV since her role in the short-lived CBS sitcom Fam, which aired for one season in 2019.

If you missed it, Nina recently shared some rare comments about dating Ian Somerhalder while filming Vampire Diaries.

The winner of the 2025 CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund was revealed during an intimate dinner hosted by philanthropist Isha Ambani, designer Zac Posen, and Vogue‘s Anna Wintour and Chloe Malle.

Nina Dobrev, Ciara, Ashley Graham, and more stars were in attendance for the event on Monday night (November 10) at the Crane Club in New York City.

Others pictured include Adrien Brody and partner Georgina Chapman, Ciara‘s husband Russell Wilson, designers Michael Kors and Vera Wang, and Tiffany & Co. artistic director Lauren Santo Domingo.

Ashlynn Park of Ashlyn was announced as the winner and she’s receiving $300,000 to help with the expansion of her label, along with a mentorship from an industry export.

Isha, who leads India’s Reliance Retail, is marking her first time being involved with the CFDA and the CVFF. She told Vogue, “It’s an honor to partner with such visionary institutions to celebrate and support emerging designers—those shaping the future global creative landscape.”

“Congratulations to this year’s winners and to all the finalists—their creativity and commitment are truly remarkable,” she added. “I am deeply inspired by this new generation of designers and excited to continue opening dialogue between creative voices, where shared ideas and craftsmanship can lead to meaningful creative collaboration and innovation.”

The 36-year-old Vampire Diaries alum attended a Vogue event at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York late Thursday night (October 16) and then she went out for a walk on Friday (October 17).

For the Vogue event, Nina wore a plum-colored top tucked into a midi skirt. She layered the outfit with a long black overcoat and completed the look with strappy black heels and a beige clutch.

The following day, the Love Hard star was photographed walking down a New York sidewalk while wearing a long camel coat over a black turtleneck and wide-leg trousers. She accessorized with a shoulder bag and angular sunglasses.

On Monday, she participated in the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2026 fashion show at Palais D’Iéna. The Vampire Diaries alum arrived in a Miu Miu polo with a two-piece co-ord over top, and combat boots. She also wore the outfit to attend an afterparty held by the Italian high fashion brand.
