Original 'Roswell' Star Jason Behr Joins 'Roswell, New Mexico' Cast for Season 2!

Exciting news for Roswell fans – Jason Behr, who played Max Evans on the 1999 series Roswell, has joined the cast of the reboot series Roswell, New Mexico!

The casting news was announced during the show’s New York Comic Con panel on Sunday (October 6) at the Javits Center in New York City.

Cast members Jeanine Mason, Nathan Parsons, Tyler Blackburn, Michael Vlamis, and Lily Cowles, and executive producers Julie Plec, Carina Adly MacKenzie, and Chris Hollier were all in attendance at the event. See photos in the gallery!

“We’re very excited that Jason will be joining us for a multi-episode arc. It’s only fitting that he’s playing a (currently top secret) character with deep ties to Roswell, New Mexico’s history. Working with him has already been such a special experience for all of us –– particularly when [Roswell co-star] Shiri Appleby was on set to direct him. I was such a huge fan of Roswell as a kid, so having their stamp of approval –– not to mention their expertise and advice –– has really meant the world to me, the cast and the crew,” Carina said in a statement.

It was also announced that Friday Night LightsGaius Charles will play Bronson, a local farmer with a strong moral compass that leads him to see the good in people –– and aliens –– in a time of great prejudice. Ultimately, his quest to protect those he loves pits him against forces far more powerful than he is.

Tyler Blackburn Reveals He's Dating an 'Amazing Guy,' Talks Coming Out as Bisexual

Tyler Blackburn came out as bisexual two months ago and he just gave his first interview since the important moment in his life.

The 32-year-old Roswell, New Mexico actor told Playboy that coming out as queer has made him “feel, Wow, the world’s a little bit safer than I thought it was.”

Tyler says that he began “experimenting” with men as a teenager, but he didn’t start dating men until he was 26.

“I had to really be patient with myself—and more so with men,” he said. “Certain things are much easier with women, just anatomically, and there’s a freedom in that.”

Tyler says that he is dating an “amazing guy” right now.

“As I got older, I realized good sex is when you really have something between the two of you,” he said. “It’s not just a body. The more I’ve realized that, the more able I am to be settled in my sexuality. I’m freer in my sexuality now. I’m very sexual; it’s a beautiful aspect of life.”

“Once I decided to date men, I was like, Please just let me be gay and be okay with that, because it would be a lot fucking easier. At times, bisexuality feels like a big gray zone,” Tyler added. “I’ve had to check myself and say, I know how I felt when I was in love with women and when I slept with women. That was true and real. Don’t discredit that, because you’re feeding into what other people think about bisexuality.”

Pretty Little Liars' Tyler Blackburn Comes Out as Queer: 'I Want to Feel Free'

Tyler Blackburn has revealed that he is queer.

The 32-year-old Roswell, New Mexico actor opened up during a new interview with The Advocate.

PHOTOS: Check out the latest pics of Tyler Blackburn

“I’m queer. I’ve identified as bisexual since a teenager,” he told the outlet, adding that he’s always had an “underlying curiosity” about men.

“I got bullied a lot by other boys [growing up], and I just felt like my soul was slowly being taken from me,” he continued. “I ended up eating lunch in my biology classroom in 10th grade, and I had no one to talk to. You form a shell around yourself for protection. And you start to make decisions based off of things outside of what you want and who you are. I stopped doing so many of the things that I loved doing because it felt safer. That right there is the outcome of oppression. When you literally have to mute who you are in order to feel safe. That’s soul-crushing.”
