Boots is one of the biggest shows on Netflix right now.
The coming-of-age dramedy, inspired by Greg Cope White’s memoir The Pink Marine, follows closeted teen Cameron Cope and his best friend Ray McAffey as they enter Marine Corps boot camp in 1990.
Despite getting backlash from the Pentagon, the show has been a viewership hit, hovering in the Top 10 on Netflix’s Top TV shows ever since its premiere.
We also know that ahead of the premiere, Sony Pictures Television extended the options on several cast members – but not all of them.
Studios frequently extend options to keep a cast secure before a big release. It demonstrates that a studio has confidence in a series, suggesting that there’s a good chance for a second season.
Although the show hasn’t been officially renewed, we’re looking at which stars’ options got extended for a potential second season.

The first teaser trailer for the upcoming Vampire Academy television series was unveiled during a panel at Comic-Con!
The Peacock show’s stars Sisi Stringer and Daniela Nieves were on hand to premiere the footage on Thursday (July 21) at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, Calif.
Also in attendance were co-stars Kieron Moore and Andre Dae Kim, as well as series creators and executive producers Julie Plec and Marguerite MacIntyre.
Vampire Academy will premiere on Peacock on September 15.
