We Were Liars author E. Lockhart is giving fans some juicy updates on the TV adaptation’s second season, which is currently in production! She has confirmed the return of several stars.

Spoiler warning, this article will discuss what happened in season 1, so don’t read it if you haven’t finished watching!

The author is releasing her third book in the We Were Liars universe on Tuesday (November 4), titled We Fell Apart. Unlike the first two novels, this one will focus on a new family, but it is still set in the ultra-rich world of the Sinclair family.

On the television side of things, the author told Variety that the Prime Video series will “fold in the story” of the prequel novel Family of Liars, which follows characters like Bess, Penny, and Carrie Sinclair when they were younger.

Here’s what the author had to share about season 2: “There’s not a lot I can say, but the new season will fold in the story of Family of Liars, and at the same time, I know the showrunners have a bunch of tricks up their sleeve so that people who’ve read Family of Liars will still be surprised. So without going a whole new direction, they’re nonetheless finding new twists.”

Aidan Turner and Caitlin FitzGerald have made a rare red carpet appearance together!

The longtime couple, who got married in 2020, were joined by friend Alex Hassell while attending the press night of Macbeth on Tuesday (October 8) at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London, England.

Aidan is currently promoting his new series Rivals and shared comment about life with Caitlin in a new interview.

Candice King has been cast in a brand new show!

The 36-year-old actress is set to join Mamie Gummer and Caitlin Fitzgerald in the TV adaptation of E Lockhart‘s novel We Were Liars, according to Deadline, which is set for Prime Video.

This will reunite Candice with The Vampire Diaries co-creator Julie Plec, who is developing the new series with The Originals and Roswell, New Mexico writer Carina Adly MacKenzie.

It’s been years since Caitlin FitzGerald and Aidan Turner walked a red carpet together!

The 39-year-old Succession actress and the 39-year-old Poldark actor walked the carpet together while attending the Cabaret gala performance on Thursday (October 27) at the Kit Kat Club in London, England.

Caitlin and Aidan were on hand to catch the new cast of the long-running musical, including The Handmaid’s Tale actress Madeline Brewer as Sally Bowles.

For those who don’t know, Caitlin and Aidan secretly got married back in August 2020.

“It was very private, there was almost nobody there,” Aidan said on Virgin Radio last month. “There were six people but no family and a couple of friends that were in Italy already because it was right in the middle of lockdown.”

“A couple of people from the show [The Suspect], because I was shooting over there, had to translate and do all those kinds of things at the actual ceremony itself, for legality reasons,” he said. “But yeah, it was tiny and beautiful. It was quite a special thing.”

The couple met up in 2018 while working on the movie The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot.

Caitlin is best known for playing Tabitha on Succession and starring in series like Inventing Anna, Masters of Sex, and Sweetbitter.

Netflix has released the trailer for the highly anticipated new movie The Trial of the Chicago 7!

The movie based on a true story, directed and written by Aaron Sorkin, will be released on October 16.

Here’s the synopsis: “What was intended to be a peaceful protest at the 1968 Democratic National Convention turned into a violent clash with police and the National Guard. The organizers of the protest – including Abbie Hoffman (Sacha Baron Cohen), Jerry Rubin (Jeremy Strong), Tom Hayden (Eddie Redmayne) and Bobby Seale (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) – were charged with conspiracy to incite a riot and the trial that followed was one of the most notorious in history.”

The film also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Keaton, Frank Langella, John Carroll Lynch, Mark Rylance, Alex Sharp, Noah Robbins, Danny Flaherty, Ben Shenkman, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Caitlin Fitzgerald, Alice Kremelberg, John Doman, J.C. MacKenzie, Damien Young, Wayne Duvall, and C.J. Wilson.

Tom Sturridge joins co-stars Ella Purnell and Caitlin FitzGerald at the Sweetbitter season two premiere on Wednesday night (June 12) at The Roxy Cinema in New York City.

The stars were also joined by co-star Katerina Tannenbaum as they promoted the second season of their Starz series.

The 74-year-old Oscar nominee was also joined at the event by his co-stars Caitlin Fitzgerald, Ron Livingston, Larry Miller, Aidan Turner and Rizwan Manji, as well as the film’s writer-director Robert D. Krzykowski.
