Liev Schreiber, Debra Messing & More Denounce Boycott of Israeli Film Industry, Urge Artists to Reconsider in Open Letter

Several actors are responding to the boycott of Israeli film institutions in a new open letter.

If you did not see, last week, thousands of stars signed a pledge that they would not work with festivals, broadcasters, cinemas or production companies they believe are “implicated in genocide and apartheid against the Palestinian people.” Emma Stone, Joaquin Phoenix, and more big names signed.

Now, in an effort from the Creative Community for Peace and The Brigade, a group of new artists including Liev Schreiber, Mayim Bialik and Debra Messing are asking those who signed the first pledge to reconsider.

Casting Alert: Hulu’s ‘Foster Dade’ Pilot Looking for Lead Actor!

An open casting call is underway for the upcoming television pilot based on Nash Jenkins’ acclaimed debut novel Foster Dade Explores the Cosmos!

The project is being cast by Rapaport/Baldasare, who are searching for an actor to take on the series’ lead role of Foster Dade, the story’s narrator and central figure.

The character is described as:

  • Male, 18+ to play 15–16
  • Open ethnicity, American accent required
  • Foster is a ferocious reader and the child of a bitter divorce. A self-medicating, modern-day Holden Caulfield, he masks his deep need to be liked behind an aloof exterior. While he longs for love and happiness, he worries that life at boarding school will trap him in an elite society that would never fully accept him. As the eponymous lead and narrator, Foster has no idea what lies ahead.

The YA drama will be executive produced by Jenkins, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Bash Doran, Robbie Rogers, and Donald De Line.

First Ever Live-Action 'Scooby-Doo' TV Series Officially Picked Up at Netflix, Details Revealed!

The first Scooby-Doo live-action series has been given the green light at Netflix!

While there have been live-action movies, this marks the first time the popular IP will get the live-action treatment in the television space.

Greg Berlanti will executive produce alongside his producing partner Sarah Schechter and Leigh London Redman through Berlanti Productions’ overall deal with Warner Bros Television.

The new movie Fly Me to the Moon tells the story of the Apollo program and how the U.S. sent the first man to the moon, but does the movie tell a fully true story?

Fly Me to the Moon is set against the high-stakes backdrop of NASA’s historic Apollo 11 moon landing. Brought in to fix NASA’s public image, sparks fly in all directions as marketing maven Kelly Jones (Scarlett Johansson) wreaks havoc on launch director Cole Davis’s (Channing Tatum) already difficult task. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is directed to stage a fake moon landing as back-up and the countdown truly begins.

There has been a conspiracy theory for years that the moon landing was faked and actually filmed on a soundstage. Fly Me to the Moon takes the “what if?” possibility and tells a story surrounding the idea that the theory had some semblance of truth.

Scarlett Johansson & Channing Tatum Flew to NYC for 'Fly Me to the Moon' World Premiere!

We’re days away from the theatrical release of Fly Me to the Moon and stars Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum flew to NYC for the red carpet premiere!

The co-stars walked the carpet together at the event on Monday night (July 8) at AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City.

Scarlett was joined at the event by her husband Colin Jost, who makes a brief cameo in the movie.

Also in attendance were co-stars Jim Rash, Anna Garcia, Donald Elise Watkins, and Noah Robbins, as well as director Greg Berlanti with his husband Robbie Rogers and their kids!

More than 700 Hollywood figures, including Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, and Jamie Lee Curtis, have signed an open letter condemning Hamas and supporting Israel.

The letter was released on Thursday (October 12) by the nonprofit Creative Community For Peace and calls for the entertainment industry to use their power to back Israel and speak out against Hamas following recent attacks that have killed over 1,000 Israelis.
